Or you can logically think, "Hey there's no real game modes to play, so I'll pass this round :D" that's all I've done.

Russ has not mentioned any content in his roadmaps so from what we know there's absolutely no plans to add content to the game in the next few months. What's planned is more mechs, then a few more mechs, topped off with rewards for buying mechs. A map tweak and then more changes to the friggin mech select screen for the next few months.

It's cool to get new toys, but what good is a paintbrush without paint.

So true... And on top of that, I recently discovered Star Trek Online and man I'm amazed. That really putted things in perspective for me... I've seen what a small and little-known studio can do with a game content-wise and I've lost most of my interest for MWO. If I hadn't spend so much money on this game and still had pre ordered things coming, I would not be playing it for a loooong time.

Another iconic 'Mech, another cool interpretation and kudos to PGI for deciding stand up for the IP.

BUT I won't be going for this one, I've stumped up for every top tier 'Mech pack, every additional one off and numerous MC packages. At this point I can not justify pumping more cash into another pack to join the huge number of Mechs in my Mechbay, when there is simply little point in having them beyond the "hey I've got X number of 'Mechs".

Beyond the reworking of existing maps and the rebalance of existing systems there has been little addition to the actual game; no new game modes, no development of the "skill" tree and it appears Community Warfare has all but stagnated. Beyond a hint of things in November and December at the bottom of the October roadmap, there has been virtually zero communication as to what if anything will happen with the main reason I bought into this game in the first place.

For me, Community Warfare was meant to be a living breathing interpretation of the Battletech universe. Somewhere we could go to have a reason to actually pilot our walking war avatars beyond "pew pew dakka dakka", rinse and repeat. An overarching gamemode with tactics, choices, consequences and purpose that, upto now has fell far short.

Please don't misunderstand me here, I fully appreciate the level of work that has gone into the game until now, I enjoy the 'Mech combat 85% of the time (even though there are still those WTF? moments). However as it stands, MWO is shallow and unfulfilling and if it were not for the friends I have made while playing I would have given up on it long ago and certainly wouldn't spend a large portion of my free time and money on it.

So for now and for the first time in over three years, I will be saying "no more cash from me PGI". I will wait and see what the next couple of months brings and take it from there, I sincerely hope you give me a reason to want to continue putting money into your product but another 'Mech pack is not that reason.

Hey, PGI... slow your roll... I just purchased the Marauder Collector and Bounty Hunter, for pete's sake, AND put Elite MechWarrior into BattleTech by HBS.

Slow it down... put a MONTH, a FULL MONTH in-between these sales, and I can support you... otherwise, you've lost me yet again to your own silliness.

Well there goes more of my money. If they just release the Archer now with a Jaime Wolf Hero mech it'll be a total trifecta for me.

Aren't you talking about the Morgan Kell's Archer? The hero could be called "Phantom" (because of his "Phantom Mech ability").

PS: the hero Archer should have ECM.

I'm kind of excited for this, and kind of half-wishing you slowed to one iconic mech per 2 months or so. Unsure if I'm going to purchase (I want to... but food!).

Well, i have bought everything that came out until now, i mean EVERYTHING. But this could be the first one i might skip. Don't get me wrong, i love the Warhammer, lovely mech. But dropping another 55$ just one month after i bought the Marauder is just too much. I could get one AAA-Game for that price, and spending that every month on MWO is just too damn much.

Pretty much what I was getting at, zero hint of a future for game modes & content. Love all the cool new mechs but it feels a lot like they are just going for money making items as the focus. I thought steam was a big plan but there's no way its close to steam ready. No AI, no CW, just 1 round 12v12 for low chills, I was grinding my sons account and I stopped and said there's no way I'm doing this, even paying for premium time it would take so many hours to get him 3 mechs. The new chill inclusion with the packs is nice but the champion fee sucks.

I was on board for wave 3, cancelled that order due to lack of content. Then I was psyched for marauder and read roadmaps and my heart sank, where's the epic battlefield that is dynamic with changing weather and tactics, where's the radar interfering sandstorm on tourmaline? Large scale city map for CW where someone turns a corner and is looking right down your top mounted gauss barrel :(

These are way overpriced I think, I've bought every pack since wave 1 except the urbie (for the same reason).

Wait - what?

So, 4 mechs per pack at $80 for all, so $20 per mech.

They sell one mech for $20, and that is over priced?

People, if you can't afford it, or just think it is overpriced, then just wait for it to come out for Cbills and use a Hellbringer in the meantime.

Meh so yet another mech being released for ridiculous money. I'll be interested in this game again when not every single part of this game is some part of pay wall for months.

$20 is "ridiculous" money? Maybe you do need to quit playing and focus on RL for a while.

But before you go, please explain how they are supposed pay salaries etc if they don't sell things?

I wish the arms didn't look so... Gundam rifley. I guess I would prefer something more blunt. But overall I'm really digging the redesign.

It's also vaguely looks like a cross between a Battlemaster and a Hellbringer. Battlebringer? Hellmaster?

This Hero looks good enough that you can safely buy the $20 pack + Hero add-on.

The hardpoint variety has me salivating.

Im VERY happy you guys are releasing Heroes with chassis like before. They happen to be heavy which i dont play unless another mech drain the queue but i hope you keep the trend and maybe eventually lower the waiting period even more for both preorder and after for mc/cbills.

The Warhammer form Catalyst looks better. I don't like the small Arms of the PGI Warhammer.
Posted ImagePosted Image
On the other hand, I like the PGI-Marauder more, than the new Catalyst Marauder.

So it is 1:1 draw.

I like all 4, 100% improvement on the Fanpro Reseens.
