That way, as the customer I can choose exactly only the mechs I want.

The jump from $20 to $40 is a bit much for me. I think I get a better value forking over $80 for the IS packs. But if they keep the pricing for singular clan mechs that would be good. $120 per pack is too much.
Bought Marauder and feel my wallet opening for Warhammer. In a good way.

I think we will see 2 more unseens for a total of 4 packs rather then 4 mechs in one pack. I could be very wrong tho...

Now we're being asked to pay $20 for 3 Mechs ... and an extra $20 if we want an extra CBill-accelerated Mech.

While doing individual packs is better for the individual that only want one or two mechs out of a bundle like the Resistance mechs this is a massive price increase for those of us buying the top end packs to get all of the mechs. Not including the hero mechs going from $80 for the pack of four to $160 is a drastic loss in value.

Also a good point. Perhaps the option should be given to allow customers to "make their own pack" and provide a discount that way?

Still the same cost....
3x4=12
20x4=80

However, while I did it on impulse to buy the $40 dollar Marauder and the Hero on top of that, with the Warhammer I'm only going the base $20 and the Hero. Doesn't make sense, even with the bonuses to pay an extra $20 ($25 after currency conversion) for one more mech. The Hero unit I probably won't even do for all of them either, but I can't say no to Natasha.

Allowing people to buy into a tier and then selecting the mechs that come with it would be nice. I'm not sure what the ramifications would be, but I'm guessing the way they have been doing it with the packs subsidizes mechs that would otherwise not sell very well. All I know is this new system if they intend to keep with it is going to make me much more picky on the mechs I buy and ultimately will result in me spending less money one the game. Good news for me I guess not so much for PGI I suspect. The strong desire people have for the iconic Warhammer and Marauder has a lot of people overlooking the price inflation, but other mechs may end up having a harder time at it with these prices.

Except it really isn't.
I got 16 mechs(4 from early adopter resistence bundle) for $80 one of which in each weight class gave me a c-bill bonus.
Under the new system in order to get the bonus c-bill version I have to buy the $40 pack.
40x4=160
Not even close to the same cost/value.

A la carte is a bad comparison because those prices are atrocious.

I prefer the $20 package as it's basically a heavy mech a la carte with 30 days of premium time ($12) and pre-order bonuses. I don't have to put with paying money for a shadowcat or panther and get basically the same amount of mechs (Don't get the 4th order pre-order variants but let's be honest except for the enforcer and maybe the grashopper they were pretty pointless, clans especially due to ominpods)
For me and I'd imagine some other people, the c-bill bonus doesn't really matter.
I'd say a player on average makes 100k a match without pemium time and mech bonuses. So 30k a match bonus. 100 matches in that variant = 3,000,000 cbills. 200 = 6,000,000. Of the recent mech packages I bought, the Zeus Resistance is the most played c-bill bonus mech with 74. In fact, I only have one mech variant played with >200 drops (and I have around 7000 drops total).
If you're the type of person who plays 1000s of drops in one c-bill bonus mech, okay then this hurts you. I'm sure there are other people who don't really play their c-bill bonus mechs that much for it to matter

Just because you don't care about the c-bill bonus, or other mechs than the one or two you wish to have doesn't change what I said. The price value is not the same for everyone.

.
Value on the other hand is subjective While you may not agree, I'm sure you can understand based on my explanation why the new system has more value to me than buying $80 packages. Giving me a collector mech adds little value to me.
