Knowing PGI's history for stumpifying mechs who wants to place bets on how gimped the Warhammer will be?

I'm personally putting my ten cbills on "hilariously gimped like some kind of genetic disorder".

Probably similar to Mauler or Orion arms.

So, pre-emptivley calling attention to PGI's known history of showing one thing in the concept images for a sale, and delivering something wholly different is "bait", how?

Hopefully they give it something longer than the mauler got, its kind of a defining feature of the mech after all. I'm also not very keen on the little square laser Lego block on the end of a tube bit, but I can let it slide for the most part.

I'm guessing MadDog style arm gimpage.

I think PGI needs to update mech images to be less cartoon-ish. That includes having arms on the Warhammer that are NOT sticking way out there like a ***** in spandex. If PGI models the arms of the Warhammer to be more like the right arm of an Enforcer -5D (with LBX10), Im OK with that. There is no need to have those overly long PPC barrels for arms when PGI has shown what PPC barrels are. FWIW, the new Warhammer arms don't lend themselves well to the BT lore, imo. Fugly is the term. However, the rest of the mech is as awesome as it could be.

The 6R, 7S, and BW each only have one energy hardpoint in each arm.

I would predict that the arm would cut-off at the end of the normal armor portion, with whatever weapon (laser, PPC, flamer) tacked on at the end.
Given the standardized size of the PPC barrels (as seen on other 'Mechs), I'd expect the part of the PPC barrel extending past the normal armor portion of the arm to be about half the length of what's shown in the concept art.
