I don't get it. How did the Oxide live? Did I miss?

Yea you totally miss it !!

Of course you totally hit it in back almost during all duration of MLPs but but what we see in our client isnt the exact server-side reality.
And server-side is always right ( even not )

You hit his left rear, looks like the Oxide went over a rock and you when between his legs (you can see the grond in front of him get hit) and you the grazed his center back. Also you right side lasers may have hit the some bad hit boxes on the wall and not made it to him.

hit reg, I've had problems with lasers and lights rear torsos from a long distance.

But most likely hit reg. Do you remember your ping, and was it fluxing? as in, did it jump from say, 100 to 200 ping, and then back?

No it was at around 100. Didn't fluctuate at all the entire match.

Then hit reg or as others have said, you didn't hit him all the way in the back.

My rough counting makes out about 5 pulse ticks hit center back in full, that's around 26 damage but the Oxide has 33 internal center. Some might have counted to center front too by the look of paper doll (dodgy hit boxes? Not sure how well the Oxide's bum counts damage to rear). Some of your lasers spread to right leg, some hit a freaking invisible wall (paused at the end of the 2 second mark and there's a floating burn in the air over the Oxide's right leg....). I think the Oxide should have been in worse shape (cherry red center possibly) but I don't think you were robbed of a kill.

Edit: Not so sure after re-watching, spread damage seems to be negligible on paper doll. If that floating burn is an invisible wall then you lost about 10 odd damage (maybe?) to it, which means Oxide should have died (or at least been on death's door) but was protected by the God of collision boxes. But! He did drop by 10%, which if that Oxide had nearly full armour in place, 10% is exactly how much 6 pulses would do. So, I have no idea.

Oxide's have 27 pts of combined torso structure quirks, and the the LBX missed. The Lasers hit a leg and all 3 torso sections... but that means about 38 damage across the torsos...

By the looks of it... inconclusive.
