4 Hours In 2 Days And All I Got Was This T-Shirt

Myst Lynx
Shadow Cat
Ice Ferret
Enforcer
In 4 hours of game play I have managed to unlock quick ignition on my Shadow Cat (that is with premium time, which I will no longer pay for because it gets you nothing). WTF happened to the grind? It seems to be 1000x worse and literally unbearable.

Think the Shadowcat is hard? Wait till you tuck into the Mist Lynx.
* Yeah, dear reader who's about to post a scoreboard showing lots of damage/XP gain with a Shadowcat: Don't be a putz. You can do really well in anything with the right circumstances, but the Shadowcat is not an easy mech for the average player to master, as compared to so many other Clan mechs.

Perhaps it is finally working.

Fit Gauss + 2xERML, find a nice high perch if at all possible, and play it like a coward. If you're confident about your location not being discovered, drop the ERMLs for more gauss ammo.

2 LPL, MG's if you want but i dont really suggest it.
3 ER Meds and some SRM6's with Art or Med Pulses and 4's.
2 Er Large and a ER Med
2 Er PPC's
That's all the builds i know of...other then mixed loadout builds like 1 Er ppc, Missiles and Er Lasers.

The Shadow Cat is just as easy to deal damage in as a BJ-1X, so long as you have the P-variant for its ballistic left torso. You can hang out at 450 meters and plug targets for 40 damage all day, with the same sustain, same hard-point placement, and ease of re-positioning that its Inner Sphere counterpart enjoys. Plus jump-jets. Just because it can't cough out 50 damage in pure energy doesn't mean it's under-gunned.
DjPush, this build is extremely reliable at...ahem...pushing damage.
You can also try 1x C-LPL and 2x C-MPL if you want it to really mimic a BJ-1X. It'll reliably get the numbers done, without cooking yourself and with better range than the Blackjack. Don't get suckered in by the seemingly decent heat efficiency numbers with 2xC-LPL...the dissipation on those builds is trash and dissipation is life for 45 tonners.

Honestly...I preferred the Lynx. It can mount 4 ERMLs, with heat quirks.

Without Efficiencies...ERMLs, LPL, ~15 heatsinks? Jesus Box, naturally.
Maybe a UAC10 build. That was adequate. Avoid MGs and SRMs. Streaks, meh. They'll get your damage, which you need to level, but not kill (which gets better EXP).
It's a SadCat. You won't carry very well in it.
