Mind you, I would prefer to see the Phoenix Hawk next, spread the love to other weight classes besides Heavy.

But out of the remaining "HG Unseen" Heavies, the Rifleman, Ostroc, Ostsol, Crusader and Archer, I would argue that the Crusader is far and away the most interesting.

1) Out of the remaining Heavies, it has the best potential for really good hitboxes. Look at the Arms. Particularly the shoulders. The key to a mech's durability lies right there. Obviously having magnetic CTs are bad, but having well distributed torso hitboxes with massive ape hanger arms, is KEY to tankiness. The Crusader could deliver this in spades. Crusader SHOULD, have the best hitboxes of the remaining options.

2) Tactical Versatility. It packs all 3 weapon types. No, it doesn't get Jagermech arms like the Rifleman, or potentially high CT lasers like the Archer, but most models have some variety of all 3 hardpoints types, Missile, Energy; Ballistics.

3) Jump jets. Several models can jump, adding to tactical versatility.

3 sample models: (Leg mounted missiles moved to torsos cuz MWO)
1) CRD-3R
-2x LRM15 (RA/LA), 2x SRM6 (RT/LT), 2x MLaser (RA/LA), 2x MG (RA/LA)

-RT: 1x M,
-LT: 1x M, 1x AMS,
-RA: 2x M, 1x E, 1x B
-LA: 2x M, 1x E, 1x B

2) CRD-3L
-2x LRM10 (RA/LA), 2x SRM4 (RT/LT), 2x MLaser (RA/LA), 2x MG (RA/LA) and 4x JJ

-RT: 1x M, 2x JJ
-LT: 1x M, 1x AMS, 2x JJ
-RA: 1x M, 1x E, 1x B
-LA: 1x M, 1x E, 1x B

3) CRD-5M
-2x LRM15 (RA/LA), 2x SSRM2 (RT/LT), 2x Mlaser (RA/LA), 1x Flamer (RA), 1x MG (RA), 1x AMS (H)

-RT:1x M, 2x JJ
-LT: 1x M, 1x AMS, 2x JJ
-RA: 1x M, 1x B, 2x E
-LA: 1x M, 1x E
-H: 1x AMS

And a few potential Heroes to choose from, such as Galen Cox, or my choice:
Captain Miko Umcizi
A descendant of the ancient Zulu chieftains, Captain Umcizi keeps his heritage alive by decorating his Crusader, the Shaka, in traditional Zulu style. The other members of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Crucis Lancers, have also adopted the Zulu decorations, giving the unit the nickname, "The Impe".

Umcizi is a fitting commander for the company. Impressively tall, he wears the traditional leopardskin cloak of a Zulu chief draped around his shoulders, and drives his unit to the limits of their endurance. This style of leadership has won the unit many victories and many decorations from House Davion. Though his MechWarriors may grumble at times, they are devoted to their commander, and would follow him to hell itself.

I've always liked the Crusader, and I'm most curious to see how they'll handle the art update. Here's to hoping they don't shove the LRMs into the wrists like the Reseen version.

I'll buy one of course ...

I want to see the Valkyrie (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Valkyrie). It's the IS light missile boat. Their mech roster has a huge gaping hole in it without the Valkyrie when compared to the clans, who tend to mount very large LRM racks on ridiculously light mechs just 'cause they can.

You can mock up a commando or a raven with a LRM10 and a medium laser, but it's not the same :(

Gah, Bishop you make good sense, I must theenk.

Ever since this whole Unseen business started with the Marauder, I've been thinking about my Rifleman because I just love those arms. (Not because of the whole "meta needs high-mounted guns" thing, mind you, just because they are arms with guns)
But then you show me the Crusader, and I remember that I liked that one too. :o

At the end of the day, though, they're all more heavies that are time-consuming to play because everyone runs a heavy. In which case I agree other weight classes need to be looked at; in particular, I want my Wasp. Might be a pile of junk, but it's still an icon of some sort. ^_^

The Crusader is by and far my favorite mech.

Between it being PGI making it, and the obvious moving of the iconic leg SRMs to the torsos....cant say anything other than "meh."

I could not care less about more gundams.

I like that the Crusader can do balanced builds. Maybe not well, but it can do them, so at least it wouldn't be more laser vomit. Got to be honest though, I hope the Warhammer is the last of the unseen heavies for a while, because those other categories could use some unseen love first, and let's face it, the heavy queue is already saturated.

probably only use the jump jet variant, but hey I would get it. Kind of reminds me of Gigantor : this is the new version http://www.1999.co.j...23/10231369.jpg

I like the Crusader and I would hope that PGI would recognize the unique opportunity to have leg mounted weapons. Missile only, and you'd have to pay attention, not to your torso, but your legs. Since there's now going to be an optional direction arrow for your legs, making a unique reticle isn't that far off.
