Wasp and Stinger would be so bad. Same size as Locust but can't reach same top speed, they'd be DOA long before the artwork.

I know, most of the mechs I'm interested in, would be considered as DoA here, but I still want them

They should be able to equip engines up to 170 rating, putting their speed at 137.7 kph BEFORE speedtweak.(148 kph AFTER speedtweak). Trust me, speed wouldn't be an issue (especially since they'd have access to Jump Jets, unlike the Locust)

They'd be so small that LOD would make them look like a tiny stick outside of 300m Posted Image

Its even worse than that. It used to work. Then they ripped out convergence because the guy who made it dipped, and they took it out to 'improve hitreg' (which it did to a degree). Its convoluted, but thats no excuse for it not doing anything for well over a year.

Im not any of those people. Im saying they all have contributed excellent balance posts. Im just saying im not my post count. Ive been here since right after CB.

Ive made thousands of posts, and hundreds of balance posts, made dozens of videos, and streamed hundreds of hours.

None of that matters. This is bordering on ad hominem.

Even if I had no idea how to balance the game, the fact that the game is unbalanced, still remains. The guy making the Warhammer, could be resizing and correcting the Catapult et all. Instead of making the Warhammers right arm. He could be changing the VCRs. He could be resizing the Vindicator. He could be testing the Vindicator with a higher engine cap and new hardpoints. He could be working on the general rescaling pass.

so what you are saying is you are posting on the forums on an alt account, with is a violation of the CoC that you agreed to. Bravo!

Yup, you could run (just an example) XL170, 6JJ, 10 DHS, 4xML, for a superstock STG-3G build. Or less JJ and more DHS if you're not like me and want your mechs to really fly. I believe the Wasp should give 6E options for those so inclined.

If the Locust does fine, so would these IMO. Again, judging based on the PXH the hitboxes should be superb.

Indeed. Having JJ's allows the Wasp and Stinger to take shortcuts and getting to firing spots the Locust cannot access.
They would be quite good on an urban map because of that.

Yeah, it isn't the locusts' speed so much (although it certainly doesn't hurt) as the accel/decel and turn rate that makes them work as well as they do. If we got similar agility quirks along with JJ, the lower engine cap is probably a non issue. Many locust pilots already drop to an xl180 or even a 170 for extra tonnage anyway.
