Well.. LRMs aren't quite the gods they were.

Because that was a real problem in tier 3+...

Was really sad when I read that they were not really changing Caustic much as it really is the worst map to play on, I mean at least TT is a decent conquest map.

That being said, can anyone tell if the increased the map rotation for Caustic as they have done in the past for new/rehabbed maps? I am just hoping that since they decided that no dramatic, and imo needed, changes were made they wouldn't give it the same treatment on rotation.

Caustic is one of those maps where they may as well delete the outer 50%. Remember in 2013, when people used to try fancy maneuvers, like going down the 3-line? Good times.

like all of the maps theyve made bigger. We still engage in the same tiny areas. Look at river city for an example

Shame, this used to be one of the few maps where alternate vision was both situational and optional.

It sure is pretty though. It may very well be the second prettiest map in MWO, after River City.

Why do we have so many small maps? We do not want to hide in the rocks! Mechs - very big! We need extensive maps to maneuver!

That's the fault of the gamemodes.

Odd, I'd say I see massive fights in the Citadel area of River City maybe 1 in 10.

Maybe it's the people you keep playing with that are the issue?

Regardless, I think the color pallette is hideous, but haven't dropped on NCV enough to really get a feel for it's play dynamics.

I do see a fair number of people crowd the arch still in NFC, but again, IMO, that has more to do with the lack of imagination with the players than the map forcing it. After all, there is a massive, better battlefield far south of Candy Mountain on Alpine...and every lemming is brainwashed into heading to that dang hill.

Yeah, because everyone likes to die alone and then be called a scrub over chat by all the lemmings.

I haven't played it much yet (only 3 matches) but while nascar is still there, all the rocks really split up the fight and i've seen the nascar suddenly stop and change direction a few times.
It's good ol' Caustic, just better.
