Is it just me or would any one else like to see LESS fog, smoke, night etc. Why cant come maps just be sunny and clear without smoke etc. I hate the idea EVER map is going to end up being smokey and dark for most of the play. Why do people thing this is a good thing.

It looks to me like PGI is deliberately making maps hard to see to somewhat mitigate Clan range advantages. That said, we have oodles of maps with clear vision for ezmode goose-vomit work. HPG, Canyon, Alpine, Crimson, Frozen City Night, River City (daytime), Bog (damn every single one of you who complained about the fog on this one), and even Forest Colony (daytime).

What squinty maps do we have? Terra Therma, Frozen City Day, River City (night), Forest Colony (night), and the new Caustic Valley.

That's 8 versus 5, biased in favor of clear maps, and I'm not even counting the CW maps. Every CW map is easy to see on and as such offer effortless long-range game-play.

P.S. The fog also rightfully f*cks over all the nerf-herders who crank their gamma.

I get the feeling it's their way of mitigating the advantage of long range weapons. Plus people can't just jack up their gamma to have all the time night vision. Wouldn't be surprised if they apply this effect to every map.
