Have You Pre-Orderd The Maruader?

I m interested to know how popular the Marader is (considering it is the first unseen).
So 3 questions-
1. Did you get it?
2. Why- Because it is an old favourite from TT? Because it looks cool? Is it because it is the first unseen and you want to support the release of others? Good value for money? etc.
3. What level did you get?
For me-
1. Yes
2. Iconic TT (on the cover of my first Battletech book (Technical readout 3025)which I still have after about 30 years.
3. Collectors + BH

2. of course i want to support the release of the others,+ the bounty hunter(TRO),
3. standard+bounty hunter.

2. Why? Because I want to support PGI bringing in the rest of the unseen mechs. I am a terrible heavy pilot.
3. The most basic package. Why? Because they will most likely gather lots of dust (not a heavy pilot, see above)
WASP pls PGI

2.) It is my favorite BattleMech, in addition to being The Greatest BattleMech of All Time.
3.) Collectors + Bounty Hunter

2. My second-favorite 'Mech in the BattleTech universe, right behind the Locust. Also, it looks like Alex captured the spirit of the 'Mech pretty darn well. It's a mix of the recent "fatass Marauder" art (Shimmering Sword's) and the TRO Project Phoenix art. Plus, I look forward to the Phoenix Hawk and Crusader (my third and fourth favorite 'Mechs).
3. Collectors + Hero.

2. It's a max-tonnage, chicken-walking Inner Sphere heavy with good hard-point placement that can actually move pretty quick with a Standard Engine and not be hopelessly outgunned. It was also a pretty good value.
3. Standard + Hero

Because I want the others to happen, the Marauder falls way down my list of unseen I want, Warhammer, Rifleman, Crusader, Archer, Pheonix Hawk, Stinger/wasp all place above it.

2. Because while it is one of my favourite 'mechs, PGI is not one of my favourite 'mech game developers. They've gotten so much cash and done so little with it already that enough's enough.
3. N/A
It wasn't an easy decision. I dearly love the Unseen, and I'd love to pilot any of them in a game again. But I cannot keep throwing good money at PGI when they keep showing their incompetence time and time again. The only way I have to show them I'm not satisfied with what they're doing is to stop giving them money.
So I'll be putting that Marauder pre-order money to hopefully better use over at Kickstarter come Monday instead.

How do you figure it has good hardpoint placement ? Is one High mounted ballistic all it takes to make a mech worthwhile ? Everything else is waist height
For myself:
1. no
2. The mech is beautifull but I chose to keep my money for a possible Warhammer. Since Canadian money isn't worth much of late, this mech at that price point is surprisingly expensive through no fault on PGI's part.

2: It looks good. I'd like it to be a little closer to the CGL version, but Alex did (as usual) a good job. And I want the Marauder to do well not only because it's a mech I always liked but because that means I might actually get my hands on a Phoenix Hawk eventually!
3: Collectors + Bounty Hunter hero. Eh, why not? Unlike some I'm fairly satisfied with MWO, for what it is anyways. I'm having fun with it, and I've got the money to spare. Some might say I shouldn't use my money that way and to those people I say mind your own damn business.

2. Because it's the marauder
3. Collectors+BH
I'm hopeful it will turn out ok despite the last few lackluster mech releases.

It is?

I must have imagined Project Phoenix.
As for your questions:
1. Yes.
2. To show support of the franchise and let PGI know I'm serious about wanting more Macross Unseen in the game. (Archer is my baby.)

Let the cheaters and exploiters support the game. PGI does nothing and the so called honorable teams don't demand it. Again let them support it.
TTK is insane and with the population so low all you see in solo is tier ones who won't play CW anymore.
CW is another in itself.
No Communication like before unless your on twitter and then its mostly vague and useless.

I have been unhappy with the bulk of my pre-order packages so far so i am not doing another.

Nope, sure haven't. I'm spent out on this game and don't think I'll be buying any more Mechs or packs with real dollars for a long, long time.

So if you think PGI (and by extension, MWO) sucks, why are you proudly displaying your Legendary Founder status? Switch your badge to something else.
Just pick up the Marauders for C-Bills in six months or whatever it is.
And don't worry, they won't be affected by you not spending money. Why? Because you'll be funding the Kickstarter that shares PGI's art ... which HBS has to pay PGI for.
So ... you get the Marauders without spending real money, and PGI won't miss your donation. It's a win-win.

2. While I'd love to support PGI on this, I'm extremely nervous about HG's potential to screw this up just like they did the first time.
I'm also waiting for the Warhammer, and not so much the Marauder, both for hardpoint viability as well as I just love the Warhammer more
I'll wait to see if HG tries to pull a fast one to know its safe to invest in the Unseen mechs from classic BT before I move on anything, as nothing would piss me off more than putting cash down on it and get all excited, only to have it yanked away because of some ancient IP hoarding and selfishness on HG's behalf.

2: i did say if they ever release some IIC mechs or marauder I would probably buy them. They did both> I really don't feel good about the purchase since I really don't want to give PGI any more money, but it's like 20$ and I actually resisted the hunch IIC which I actually like more and think it will be more fun to play as well. But the MAD does have JJ /energy /balistics / and doesnt cost 40 bucks to get.
And maybe they will do MAD IIC/warhammer etc if this sells
3: standard version

It has multiple high-mount ballistics in one torso side. You can squeeze 3x AC/2, 3x AC/5, 2x UAC/5, 2x LB-10X, AC/10 + AC/5 into that spot. That'll make it good for ridging. Not amazing, but serviceable. On flat ground, it'll be pretty awesome, especially since most of those ballistic combos can be used with a minimum STD 325.
All-in, the hard-points aren't much different than a Timberwolf.
It's not a gmae-changer, but being 75 tons allows it to do a lot of things that you can do on a Jager at a higher speed, XL and STD, without giving up armor or hard-point placement.
