This would be a great weekend for a 50% bonus in cbill event for all mechs and a double cbill bonus for (L) mechs. It would be an extension of the customer appreciation theme. Plus, now that a lot of us have a single mech of a new chassis we need funds to buy two more to level them...and we probably need some more mechbays... So you could look at it as a way to get us to spend more money by exploiting all the free stuff we just got...right?

Hmmm... we get one (or more) free mech(s) and we need, need, need...

This is what I'm reading on the OP.

To be honest, either grind the c-bills or purchase them.

Also if you don't want to grind and don't want to pay for c-bills, then you can just play the game and have fun while the c-bills stack up.

Constantly requesting free stuff when "you" just got some free stuff seems NOT the way this game should go.

But hey... that's just my honest opinion.

id also apreciate if we could have some event, OUTSIDE CW, where you would choose one side at the beggining, and then play for IS only or CLAN only mechs. (if you play the other side mechs, it wont count your progress there).

Would be interesting showdown.
(the rewards could be more for the winners (ie IS or CLAN). The loosers would get smaller rewards.) Just an idea.

Yeah, OP is most likely a freeloading high school drop out living in his parents basement. I saw him in game too and he isn't even very good ;)

No, I just like events and the ones that don't involve match score and leaderboards don't bring the "gotta kill everything on the map" types out quite as bad.

I didn't said that and didn't say I don't like events, but it's been a common practice around here for people to "need" more stuff when they were just handed some free stuff... gets old and tiresome.

I do agree with events, I do agree more events would be a good thing for both the players and PGI, since they use the events data to fine-tune things in the game and the players see events as a short-term goal, instead of just grind for the sake of grinding.

Now requesting events based on the rewards is a poor perspective, we should be requesting events based on the type of event... example:

Event just for Trial mechs.

Win the event and the mech you used the most will be at 50% off for you to buy.

Now this is a good system for event / reward, imo.

I would like that event! In fact, I supported a trial mech event on the feature suggestion page once, I would run trials all weekend. And sorry, I was trying to have a little humor at my own expense, but I forget sarcasm and tone get lost on the Internet ;) I hope there are no hard feelings.

Sadly, the business model survives on making people SPEND their c-bills and then desperately spend cash to "get stuff" they don't have the c-bills . For that reason, c-bill bonus weekends are rare.

Just to halt the stampede of players reminding me that they give away millions of c-bills in the form of goals, I already know that and it's a different horse. It's has a limit, not everyone achieves the goals to qualify, whereas a double c-bill event means every single match gives extra. Every single match.

As such they are better off having c-bill SALES on items in order to drain c-bills from accounts and that's why you see those frequently. So count me in for a module sale.

That's cool, I didn't pick up the humor because I'm at work and my mind-set is less towards fun and more towards facts... in an hour or so I'll look again and probably laugh at the post :)

Yeah, it probably wasn't as witty as I thought it was. I often find I am the only person laughing at my jokes.

Yep, they should have a CBill event.

But only if you play IS mechs.

No, events are the bane of the weekend. Do you want even more idiotic play? Besides didn't they give out millions of c-bills in the last two weeks for essentially nothing?

The Paulconomy doesn't allow for this.

You are better off asking for a reenactment of Paul's "favorite match".
