We destroyed the enemy team in each of those matches. I played with 2 buddies, but that aside it were pretty much pug vs pug matches. Smaller premades of 2-3 players on both teams, but i didn't see a premade larger than 4.

IS pugs had no chance. On their best match they got around 22-26 kills... The worst one was just disgusting. We attacked on boreal. 47:6 (they only got 4 kills, 2 guys ejected). Best IS player had below 600 DMG. They literally had no idea how to play this game, even though there were plenty non trial mechs involved.

long story short: in non of those matches IS Team had a chance of winning. Main reason for that was the amount of terribly build mechs, worse than a trailmech could ever be. i saw enough guys using builds so bad that the IS team pretty much had to play 8 vs 12.

I averaged around 1900 dmg and 7-8 kills (while dropping with an unbasiced nova as first mech). Didn't have to use my 4th mech a single time.

That depends on which time and what day of the week it is.

On weekends during the EU timezone afternoon, queues are very quick, mostly ~3-5 minutes.

During the week, the queues are slower, sometime games do not happen at all.

So, do you pick a planet and hope others join you? Or does that initiate a search for others interested in CW? Because seeing one lonely clanner waiting for friends probably doesn't attract more players.

Just like that, pick a planet and hope. Though usually much faster route is to log on to your factions ts hub and hope there are enough willing players to form up a group, then drop in with said group. When there is like a 6+ player group in que, you get more random pugs wanting to join up. When you get a 12-man attacking a planet defender pugs usually show up..

But like KinLuu said cw is quite dead on week days when NA sleeps and EU is working.

When pugging I check to see which planets have players and how many are in the next line up. If there are only a few wanting I hit the normal queue then check back after that match. If there are 7+ waiting I will queue up. Wait time 3-8 minutes but have had only one ghost drop in the last 2 weeks.

Most matches were loses and of those a few were extremely close vs both a 10/12man Clan units with 5-7 mechs left alive, the other loses we destroyed only 14-20 mechs. The few wins were primarily against Clan pug co-ops which may have had 2-5man unit in it.

With that said, if a faction is attacking a planet it is generally made up for a few 10-12man Clan units, so once they have finished a drop the drop leader has to relocate the planet they were on, see there is at least one formed co-op ready for combat and select that planet again.

Touch on close matches where close cause someone stepped to the plate as a co-op leader and very calmly herded the rest of the pugs to one location and kept almost everyone there. Even though after each round it was 12/12, 24/24, 36/36, what hurt were the built up damage we had sustained before the next round began, that is when their last mech was destroyed our mechs were no longer fresh vs the next wave.

And since we were also pugs vs Clan mech, most were not running better, optimized IS mechs for the CW. Of course, turn that around, it is difficult, not impossible but difficult to run an under performing Clan mech. There are not that many options and the majority of Clanners do stay away from the low performers. There is always pilot skill but if you have similar pilots with similar skills, an under performing IS mech will generally lose to a top performing Clan mech, such as someone bring primarily LRM mechs without the additional components and complement mech support to be even semi-effective.

There are other items that can affect the drop, from co-op (pug) to an actual unit, the drop commanders (or not), if people are playing as if they are in the regular queue, all for themselves, let me snipe and hide attitude.

By pug you mean solo dropping or by pug you mean your small premade?
