Do Take: UAV spotting "team", ECM counter "Team", faster paper doll, targeting range etc. "me"
If teamwork is as OP as people say it is, I'd say take it.

Even in the scrub tiers, BAP is a useful addition to any loadout, if only for the ECM countering ability.
There needs to be a balance between support and personal effectiveness.
If you can't stay in the fight, all you're doing is effectively removing a Mech from your formation, which leads to almost certain defeat.
If you can't provide support to the formation, you're reducing its overall effectiveness by decreasing your overall info-warfare abilities.
