I'm a new player, sort of. I used to play casually with a few friends, but I only ever built one mech. I'd like to start playing more, but I don't know anyone who plays. So I guess I'm looking for a unit? If that's what it's called? And I just need someone to explain the whole faction thing to me. I had some other questions but I can't remember them now.

Check out the 'need help, looking for people to play with' pinned post in this forum.
There I a public TS server you can log in to.
Also recruitment section to the forum to find a unit.
I can't help much on the faction stuff. I generally pick one for a week when I want to do CW. If you join a unit, they will most likely have one selected already.
