So is the new version set to do this too? Because looking at the drop prep screen a lot of these matches look liked they have been rigged. ( solo q )
8 out of 10 matches I can usually guess he outcome before we are even on the ground. Majority unfavourable.
So being in tier 2 makes for a very frustrating time skilling mechs.

And you made three identical threads, delete the other two, man...

Between PGI doing everything possible to chase noobs from the game along with the top tiers using every trick in the book to farm I think we have reached near critical mass. I don't hold out much hope for Steam unless PGI does something drastic. As far as the top tier they will never change or play straight. They will do win at all costs until all that is left is a smoking crater were a game once existed. My reasoning on this is do you ever see anyone in the top tier suggest hope to police themselves? No? Me either. They spend their time telling you these issues don't exist.

Anything outside of PST prime time the MM is completely random - all valves wide open, with its only mission being to put 24 mechs in a match.
I play randomly throughout the day, and there's no way that the MM is actually working to make competitive matches through 80% of it, slightly better when you hit the PST prime but still way open.

May I, in all humility, point to a post I made exactely on this in another thread.
In short: in the long run, chances are always 50-50. The rest is up to you.
I'm tier 2 as well. The stomps are frustrating, of course, but I win more than I lose.

That's very often my impression, too.
It's like in CW: The match starts as soon as there are 12vs12 people present. There is no room for balancing out skills in the first place. It's not like CW matches reject you for not fitting in in the last place or so ("Sorry, you're too high/low").
Only when there are much more people waiting than a single match requires has the MM a chance of doing whatever it does.
I don't know exactely how full the PUG queues are, but judging from the volatility in the mech class percentages (e.g. assaults spike from 20% to 40% and back to 20% inside a few minutes), I guess numbers can't be that high there, either.
