I have a funny tale to tell about PSR and my 2 children's accounts. Now a bit of explanation. I play far more than my kids and they only play on weekends. They play at about tier 4 or 5 level, however, whenever special events come along, I often help them complete the events so I play on their accounts occasionally.

Now back when we had elo, it was noticeably easier to play on my kid's accounts and I could easily score twice the damage while playing on their accounts. Fast forward to PSR and I logged into their accounts to check their PSR and their PSR was almost a full tier higher than my own PSR.

So apparently the moral of the story is that occasionally mauling your low tier opponents for a high match score while mostly playing badly the rest of the time will net you a higher PSR than consistently doing average or slightly above average.

I feel bad for my children now. They'll be put into matches way above their level for a good long while. Or maybe I should feel bad for the people who's team they wind up on! ;)

I am pretty if people were assigned tiers by a random number generator it would have been just as effective.

Moral of the story...don't play your kid's accounts like they are your smurf accounts or your kids are going to have a bad time.
