The UI has steadily improving. But we still lack a major needed feature for new players. We need a TechManual.

The TechManual should be menu item that has flavor text and rules mechanics for all in game items, equipment, and terminology. The new tutorial should make reference to it, "Don't blame me when you forget what I taught you scrub. Go read your TechManual."

The manual should be available both in mech lab and ingame.

While smufys is a good example of what it should look like something more user friendly (collapsed with more flavor text would be preferred.

Without a TechManual players have to search for undefined arbitrary rules
This will allow new players an easy tool for easing the learning curve, provide a way to add flavor text to the game mechanics instead of just arbitrary ballance mechanics.

I've been calling for this for the better part of 2015...

Let's see how you fare..

My requests for this (and many others) have, as usual, been largely ignored by PGI.

The only thing I ever suggested that actually got put into the game was the spinning of mechs in the Homescreen.

But hey, don't get discouraged!

I agree, I was thinking of it as a Codex for any and all related background info, but a Tech Manual is more than welcome!
