Ok, went ahead and started fooling around with sensor range with module and beagle probe. Based on what has been explained, base 500 + sensor range.

Tried out a locust with +400 with 25% range module. Max range 1500...

Mathed it out and 800 base + 400 = 1200 * 1.25 = 1500.

Under what I understand it is suppose to be.

500 base + 400 = 900 * 1.25 = 1125

Also had some wonkiness with beagle probe with longer than expected range sensors.

Base ranges are as follows:

Light: 800m
Medium: 600m
Heavy: 500m
Assault: 500m

So, nothing wonky here. It's operating as expected.

WOW, then lights can get some killer range with module AND beagle probe.

EDIT--- wrong...

"Post-Quirk Sensor Ranges will generally fall into the value regions listed below, according to weight class:
  • Light ‘Mechs: ~900m Sensor Range.
  • Medium ‘Mechs: ~800m Sensor Range.
  • Heavy ‘Mechs: ~700-750m Sensor Range.
  • Assault ‘Mechs: ~500-650m Sensor Range."
After quirks. Something still wonkey.

Hmm. Well, those are the numbers I got for base range going through each mech in the PTS. On the other hand, if you include the quirked values, then the averages are about what are mentioned in the info post. That is, most heavy mechs now have about 700m when the quirks values are added and assaults are about 600m with quirks.

Seems assaults are working.

Bought a highlander +200.

Max ranged at 700. (base 500 + 200)

Then slapped on 25% sensor module.

Maxed at 875. So I think something is off on the locust.

EDIT: assualts I put down as heavies, changed to assault.

Tried out locust again. No module, no beagle. +400 on LCT-IV. Maxed out at 1200. (so 800 base). Yeah, something wonky.
