adder of course. who would have thought a slow light would be so badass with the right loadout. 5mpl, a pair of uac5s, gauss+erll. just lots of great loadouts.
i was also rather impressed with the ice ferret, mostly because of its speed. its loadout options are less spectacular. but you can stick on 5 erll and do pretty well with it.
that loyalty cicada is pretty good too. but ive only ran it twice, both with great results.

Just love the way they force you to play super aggressively along side the team.
It's always fun when people get tunnel visioned about killing the spider and will get themselves torn apart trying get the little fellow.
Love my Locusts as well.

2) Urbanmech. My Urbanmech has very much surprised me with it's gameplay. Not only do I LOVE being able to train on targets without getting my torso locked (120 twist plus 30 arm on the Dragon, btw), but the small size of the Urbanmech means I can stay out of fire as long as I still have allies. I'm not dangerous in it, but I do a lot better than I ever expected.

I figured the enforcer would be just as bad as the Vindicator, but it actually turned out to be a decent chassis, with each variant offering valid builds, except for maybe the ® one.
Grasshoppers were proclaimed DOA due to being as tall as an Atlas, but they turned out pretty damn solid too. You could spam pulse for a decent brawler, or jump snipe by abusing the high mounted torso slots (after propping up PPCs with small lasers)

#2 Hunchback. I played one long ago when I was a newbie and hated it. Abandoned the medium clas mechs for a long time after that. Eventually got bored and decided to try it again and now it's almost my fav medium chassis (SHD still holds top spot).

I always glad when someone finds the Awesome is working for him. It is one of my favs in Battletech and the vey first and only Assault that I bought through grinding Cbills. Unfortunately I found it extremely tedious to pilot the target board in MWO. I feel that MWO did not do justice to that mech.

2. Panther - It managed to surprise me. After i got used to lower speeds in lights thanks to my KFX the Panther is actually decent.
That really good arm yaw brings the arm weapons to bear at incredible angles.

The mech seriously sucked and felt sluggish at first..
But later, I learned it, basiced it, tricked it out.. and now it rocks..

Adders: won a Prime over that one challenge weekend, and the first few times I drove it the results were atrocious. Then I tried it again with a UAC20 and now it's one of my favorite trolls. What's that, Mr. Streakcrow? You think you're gonna have an easy kill? Say hello to my little friend! *DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA--DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA* Oh my... what happened to your face? So much fun... the only Clan 'Mech I spend any significant amount of time in (really, the only one I even own aside from my triple AMS ECM Fox).
Urbanmechs! I waited so long to try them... immediately after my first drop I couldn't understand what I was worried about. There should be a law against having that much fun. Two of mine have slightly more practical pulse laser builds, and the other two are super-stock with nice, punchy ACs. I don't know if they're going to unseat the Panther as my favorite lights, but damned if they aren't trying to! I've been doing pretty good in them, too. Just before I left on my latest trip, my UM-R60L shot past my PNT-9R's W/L ratio (albeit with many fewer games). Run or shoot? Run or shoot?! Both! Well, jog anyway... Slow lights are a special kind of crazy... crazy awesome!
The ZEU-6T. It's not so much that I expected it to be bad, as it is that I expected to be bad with it... but mine is incomprehensibly lucky. I'm a frakking awful assault pilot, but somehow this stupid thing has my best W/L ratio at a solid 5.0, and a 2.0 KDR to go with it (the complete opposite of my 9S, which is my absolute worst performer with 0.17 W/L and 0.5 KDR)! It's gotten to a point where I'm getting afraid to keep driving it lest I suddenly derp into a horrible losing streak and tank its numbers.
