Someone else had a thread up not long ago on which a poster noted that Crysis Wars has a good possibility of not working correctly. I am one of the unfortunates who cannot get it to start properly, thus I cannot play MW:LL and am pissed off about throwing money down a toilet. Can anyone here explain why Crysis Wars never gets past the dark blue blank screen that appears before the game should actually begin? When I press "CNTRL, ALT, DELETE" to bring up my task manager, it shows that Crysis Wars stopped responding...***? Please help!

I am going to assume you are runing Windows 7?. If not this may not help, but try this if you are. Don't use the autorun feature of the install disc when you install the game. Open the disc and explore to the setup exe and run that IN COMPATIBILITY MODE. It will most likely say something like Do you want to install it in WinXP SP2 mode blah blah blah. Say yes. Worked for me in Fallout 3 and lots of people were havijng issues with that game under Windows 7 as well. Obviously if you have the game installed uninstakll it completely and try it this way. Again, you didn't really shoot any details of your setup but I hope this might help you.

I'm using Win7 Professional (64bit) and it works fine the way I read to install it, but I guess it was a little weird. I read to download and install the CRYSIS WARS demo, from Filefront or w/e you can, install and update it, run it, and create an online account through the in-game, and connect to a server (any server) so it asks for your cd-key. Enter your key, save your settings, and close out. Then install the MW:LL installer/launcher. This worked for me fine, but uh...there's only like 4 populated servers, and only 1 I get under 200 ping to. Fair warning that high ping in that game means your hit registration will be way off, even at 100 ping, it's really bad and buggy.

Is this retail or Steam version?

If retail, you can navigate to the installer on the disc, right click, and run in administrator mode...this should set the permissions correctly.(you can also double check or force the installed exe to run in admin mode too, can't hurt afaik)

Also make sure you have it updated properly, restarted the game, etc

If Steam, heh, you will have other problems too, like having to insert your key into the installscript.vdf file for the game....as it will continually put the incorrect format key in.(google this)

the largest problems I've encountered stemmed from it not running in admin, and for my steam version....the key issue(and no 64bit exe).

Make sure you get it working in DX9 mode first, and connect to an empty server with PB on...then try the LL launcher from there out.
I know it sounds crazy, but at this point, getting my two copies working again after a reinstall has become an art form.

It might be a .DLL error like mine. Try to open the game, and close it after it stops responding, then open your start menu, right click on computer and click "Manage". A window should open up with several options on the left side including Event Viewer, expand that and then expand Custom Views, and finally click on Administrative Events. Click on the very top error, and start clicking down, look at the box at the bottom of the list that has a description for each one and let us know if you see something that sounds a bit similar to:

"Faulting application name: crysis.exe, version: 1.1.1.6156, time stamp: 0x47d6d167
Faulting module name: atidxx32.dll, version: 8.17.10.447, time stamp: 0x4fd62800
Exception code: 0xc0000005"
