For me I was mostly testing out ML ranges, on match with LPL and I think one with a couple MPL.
The LPL match actually didn't vary a whole lot from live play in terms of damage output. Still had enough range to be somewhat effective on its tail even non-targeted. Could maybe use a slight buff back out though if the same system is kept.
ML's got hit a bit harder - non-target damage was quite minimal, even when boating 6-9. Feels like the non-target range could use a hefty lengthening. Seemed about the same with targeting (of course gong to be less because its hard to instantly adjust to not having range quirks).
Overall though still like the feel of it, most of tonights games were kind of a bear to be testing laser ranges when so many were dropping 5-6 uac dires. Given that bit I think that the system is still a good improvement over the current pinpoint on where-ever one.
Wouldn't mind trying the targeting system on adjusting the maximum cutt off instead to see how that feels too.
I like ecm where its at. For myself and for a team. Just felt like so much less of a hack-type play bringing it.
Probably do some more drops tomorrow night, but I think the dozen I've done, pluse a bunch of running in training grounds have given me a pretty good idea of whats going on, and I rather enjoy the concept - hopeful of the direction this is going, especially if they do indeed intend to make it an all encompassing balance from what we see here, something similar to what we saw with last pts (though I reaaally like the one guys idea of moving the vast majority of the info tech quirks onto swappable sensor modules then doing the minor tweaks to the mechs - a far more elegant and easier to understand solution. And also if they plan to include skills and modules in this as well it will have some true promise for making the game much more technical as well as much more enjoyable all around.
