AS7-S2 Atlas
Background: Canon variant of Atlas with 2 ERLL, Heavy Gauss, LRM15+A and ECM as stock loadout
Hardpoint: 1x ECM (organic mounting location to stock loadout), 2x Energy (1 on each arm), 2x Missile (Left Torso), 2x Ballistic (Right Torso), 1x AMS (Left Arm).
Unique property:
- 2 less CT slot, but instead has 2 additional slot (for a total of 14) on Right Torso, allowing it to equip Light Engine or XL Engine with Heavy Gauss (with Light Engine, you can also equip CASE)
- Only Atlas variant with High mounted Ballistic hardpoint.
- (Updated 28-Aug-2021) The alternative: a quirk that reduces the amount of slot occupied by Heavy Gauss from 11 to 10 or even 9. Can also consider to extend the quirk to Class 20 autocannons.
AWS-9Ma Awesome
Background: Canon variant of Awesome - Adam Steiner's custom Awesome from the Battletech Animated Series. Carries ECM, Command Console, 3 ER PPC in same locations as AWS-9M) and 1 Small Laser (moved to left arm)
Hardpoint: 1x ECM (organic mounting location to stock loadout), 7x Energy (2 on right arm, 2 on each side torso, 1 on left arm), 1x AMS (Left Arm)
Unique property:
Stock loadout carries 2 ton of Advanced Communications equipment in CT, which cannot be removed (hence 2 ton less free tonnage, to not make it outright superior to AWS-8Q). We could then give it some buffs that could represent this fixed equipment.
What I have in mind for unique property for the fixed equipment (just throwing out ideas).
- Lancemate buffs: Reduce target info gathering time by 25%.
- When use alongside Command Console, allows all friendlies in lance to target mechs in its line of sight.
STK-8S Stalker
Background: Canon variant of Stalker with LFE, 2 ER PPC, 2 ERML, 2 MPL,and 1 Heavy Gauss. (1x ER PPC and 1x MPL on each arm, 2 ERML on LT, Heavy Gauss canonically split RT/CT)
Hardpoint: 2xE on each arm, 2xE + 1xAMS on LT, 1B on RT
Unique property:
- 2 less CT slot, but instead has 2 additional slot (for a total of 14) on Right Torso, allowing it to equip Light Engine or XL Engine with Heavy Gauss (with Light Engine, you can also equip CASE)
- (Updated 28-Aug-2021) Alternatively, a quirk that reduces the amount of slot occupied by Heavy Gauss from 11 to 10 or even 9. Can also consider to extend the quirk to Class 20 autocannons.
Other notes:
- Measures needs to be taken to prevent this variant from obsoleting the STK-M Misery - I would propose giving the Misery some additional hardpoints to scale it to other Stalker variants (e.g. additional ballistic hardpoint where the Gauss goes).
