Activated a month of banked premium time 3 weeks ago and at that exact time PGI decides to stop doing weekend events?

I swear to god, if there isnt a double xp and/or other extra rewards per match followed by a cbill discount sale on modules and mechs i will be slightly disappointed!

Event overload break is welcomed. I liked the old schedule where events actually meant something and came once a month or less.

Recently back to back events killed it for many who only play on weekends.

Those who want non stop events are the same people who go to concerts or parties of people they cant stand just becaue its a party. So let it rest Paris. You will see events again soon enough.

There should have been a PTS server event with actual rewards for the "real" account.

That might inspire more to play on the PTS and try out all those "suggested" changes. For science.

But I'm really cool that there is no "real" event.

I bet it’s because they don't want to create an incentive to not participate in the PTS run. Or, they figure the Resistance 2 and Loyalty releases are still keeping us excited (true for me).

Anyway, I wonder if I’m the only one who prefers to not have events. At least at T3 the gameplay is a ton less fun during events: basically all 70+ ton meta mechs, and selfish play to boot. It’s a lot more diverse and fun outside events. For me fun gameplay > event prizes.

Id be ok with a "play x games on pts and get y on live" event.

But i guess i understand that events on live would make no sense when we have a pts build that needs testing.

the trick or treat format has traditionally been a giveaway more than a challenge. 80 is so low any idiot can get it.

The challenge is more getting all the prizes than fighting hard for each one. You need tons of matches to catch 'em all...

they tried to remedy this a week later with another event to calm the waves...

they are doing a no event months - assumedly to work on the next one to make it better and tested, or to work on improving the game, or they are just taking an honest break...
people complain.

prediction: they will do <whatever> next weekend.
people will complain...

Yeah, just add: "You get damage/2 so all you need is 600 damage or 500 and some other bonuses doesn't sound hard to me."
