I recently decide to go back to JM6-S with Quad AC2 just to listen the good old dakka noise.
It seems that it still generate ghost heat and I thought I've seen somewhere on the post that the heat penalty has been removed from AC2.
Anyone notice that? or I'm just dreaming.

It's just the heat from the RoF... They fire, like all weapons in MWO, way to often in 10 seconds, a turn in TT....

QUAD!?!?!? There is no old good quad dakka, it's hexa dakka. MOAR DAKKA!







ps. There is no ghost heat but that 1 heat for each shot is just nuts, try hexa UAC2 direwolf.. stupid hot.

I think they tried removing GH from AC2s, but had to put it back on cus it broke lower arm actuators on Clan mechs......something odd like that?

I peformed multiple matches today and i did pretty solid with this loadout. This one is a real challenge to keep your head cool.

And i like challenges. I make them myself.

And i kind of like the AC/2 singlular dakka.

But i do get your point though. Multiple AC/2 stacks terrible.

My on1-v runs a single AC/2 as well :^)

I just got out of a match where i scored 517 damage with the same build.

I think my stomach hurts from laughter. Man, hilarious. This is hardmode compared to the easy laser vomit from Clanners.

All the things you need to do! From heat management, positioning, some good quality beer and a TAG to neuter any little imbalanced stinkers like ACH and other mechs in a overly ECM game.

The K has only two missile slots in the ST, while the M has one slot on CT/ST and Arm just like the V with the CT slot being a exception.

But i peformed this in a K. But if you mean to engage on longer range: The LRM is too slow. I made it a sidetarter for a reason!

You should try ac5 3ac2, xl280. I find this is the best build, although quad ac2 was fun.

The quirks + the 6 ac2's on the one mauler are a lot of fun and fairly manageable.

And guys... we all love the Orion, we all 4 or so. But stop fielding those ridiculous builds... I mean seriously, take a pair of LBX10 with ML, but AC2s? You nuts?

to be ttue, 2 LBX are one of the builds that are really pure fun and maniac giggles all the way to spectator mode...

It's incredible challenging and fun to play with it. And it even fits my taste of loadout variety.

I actually have a semi brawler build ready for the Protector which includes a LBX. But the darn thing needs to go on sale first.

Thanks guys. I must be asleep when using the ac2s dreaming on GH. But it does feel good when people back off when I shoot at them. Maybe I should learn to fire 10 shots at a time.
