Tonight, I spent an hour prepping clan mechs, specifically to test the furthest parts of the ideas.... and can't get a match.

It's not for lack of trying to test on my part.

Searching now. No dice, it seems.
Not sure I want to spend my whole Friday night looking for a match on PTS.

lol from past experience PGI is going to do whatever they want no matter what the community says hence why PTS is pointless

I cannot catch a match. moving to production platform (which, with limited postulation and participation is the best testing ground)

100% honesty: I just don't care.

I go "I'm bored."
and then, "I could go on the PTS and test it out."
And then I go, "nah. what else is there to do?"

Busy with another game. One where I can group with one or two friends and not be punished for it.

Lack of trust or faith based on previous efforts made, and also based off of admission of incompetence regarding shirking of job duties and professionalism.

I have no confidence in the minds behind balancing, and after last PTS, it pretty much proved that there is an extreme lack of foresight and professionalism in just doing simple things (like informing testers what they need to test) that I feel echo into how the game is being balanced and the direction the game is going.

Wasting time on closed minds is like pissing into the wind. I've seen too much advice from people who are both intelligent and passionate about the IP/Lore thrown around and get ignored for whatever reason, I don't feel that now or anytime ever they care to read anything I or we have to say, as they use their spreadsheet data like the words of God. Sure they have data in front of them, but one has to understand what they're gathering, why they're doing it, and how to interpret it... and I don't feel that.

I also don't feel the time frame turn around for balancing is on an acceptable scale of importance. With December closing fast, and the Reseen/IIC's needing to be pushed out the door... I doubt another rushed or half-assed system would get the attention it needs before the middle of the following year. I think of my life and the importance of my time in hours and days... not months and years like PGI does.

So I don't have the time to waste on a new system they're going to throw in anyways, most likely ignore any complaints about it between now and then and use player data to back up their claims on how its working as intended.

TL:DR - I have zero faith and trust in the person balancing it based on past performance and admission of guilt, so there's no point.

first of all the game is grindy and i have mechs to level, cbills to make. i dont want to hop on the pts because points earned there dont count to my live account. there needs to be some kind of test pay. inject a reasonable amount of mc/cbills/gxp into your live account for every hour of active gameplay on the pts. the idea is to compensate the player for time that could have been spent in their live accounts.

other thing is the download is kind of large. why cant you spawn an instance by cloning my existing client and down patching it? i cringe at downloading things larger than a gig (its one of the reasons im not a steam user).

Ping and wait times for me. For some reason my ping to the NA servers went down the crapper about a month ago (to 340 from ~200) and it hasn't gone up since. I did try the PTS 2 days ago though, and the wait times were pretty bad. It just takes too much of my time and the games I get just aren't good enough for me to spend too much time testing.

I've tested for about 8 combined hours, or so, since it went live. I've pretty much seen what I need to see and collected the data that I need to collect to draw my own conclusions from this particular iteration.

Until further changes come, I don't see any reason to burn any more time on it.

Even if you can't/won't log onto PTS, there are a few polls started in the Phase 2 Feedback boards.
http://mwomercs.com/...alance-phase-2/

Please, at least put a vote in. If PGI reads any of that feedback, they may well read a simple poll to get a feel for what they're doing.

Just have a say.

-SRM HITREG BEING BEYOND STUPIDLY MESSED UP.

All the neat builds I want to try out now that there are no rules and the meta is beyond screwed up are brawlery stuff like brawler Victors and Griffins and Atlai.

It's not much better on the live servers.

http://mwomercs.com/...e-enlighten-me/

As for my part i tested the PTS Phase 1. Wrote feedback. Including several other people. They removed quirks. Now everything is put in archive.

How do i know if they even have listened regarding for example the Atlas? PGI didnt even drop a comment. So why would i bust my butt off again?

I have been hammering on the state of the Atlas for some time, i have been talking with Russ about it since Sept. '14, i have tried contacting him several times after that and even offered my help to balance the chassis out.

Its clear that they don't want to listen and i am not going to put myself up again when i hardly see any Communication back regarding testing. It need to work from both a sides. PGI should know by this already.

But that does not mean i am trying to test, but the que times are massive the last few times i tried. So i mostly spend my time in Testing Grounds.

It feels like wasting time. Just like echo chamber called 'Feature suggestion'.

Same as above - lack of population during UK gaming hours, pure & simple. :/

Well, I'm a pretty new player, and therefore I have very little stuff, so I obviously need C-Bills which I don't have much of.

You asked for an incentive... well if a job wants you to work extra, they pay you OT, so... that would make me consider the Test Server. IE. Let me earn double C-Bills for my main account.

I dont because my feedback doesnt matter. Brilliant players have posted brilliant feedback and suggestions to truly make MWO more balanced and intuitive, and PGI has deaf ears. It's been this way for literally years, and wont change.

*shrug* Call me jaded, but I've never encountered a company this inept with such glacial progress.

I have just found the servers to be empty when I have tried to drop.

My suggestion would be to close normal servers down for an hour at peak times and test then, with players getting a small MC bonus for doing so maybe 25mc per drop.

When i was logged in yesterday for hours what should have been a good time for the US timezone i was unable to find a match so i toyed around a bit on the testing ground and eventually logged off - playing a match on the production Server - felt way to tired and went to sleep.
So i had 1 good match yesterday on the PTS quite a bit earlier (pre-beginning-US-Primetime) but decided to do something else after a huge waiting time afterwards...
