What do you guys think of Pgi offering a subscription? Before you freak out, you wouldn't get p2win or anything like that. The game would still be f2p just some ppl would be paying monthly for extra goodies.

These are the things I was thinking subscribers should get:
- Premium time
- Discounted paint, camo, etc.
- Discount on mech packs
- Subscriber cockpit item
- Receive MC monthly
This is what I came up with, they could get more or less.

How much should the subscription be?
I'm thinking about 10 to 15$. Opinions on this could be helpful.

I'm a little worried about creating a rift between subscribers & nonsubscribers but I don't think it'd become a real issue.

if they want people to subscribe it should include getting all mech releases free and all other content unlocked.

I think how it works in other games is exp bonus, cred bonus, monthly MC alotment.

free or else theres no point to be honest, the uptake would be low if the reward for subscribing does not reasonably significantly outweigh buying things piecemeal.

B: PGI removes all content from my account although I might of spent extra money on them?

What would be great is if I have to work, am out of town , some reason I cannot play MWO while my Premium times counts down.......injects 50,000 C-bills into my account for every day I could not play.

They would look at other similar games that have subs and do something on the same scale. And as far as I know no f2p game offers all the content for free with a subscription so there is no way that MWO would do it.

I would gladly play $10-15/month for some premium, mc and maybe a discount on mechs and equipment.

I would unlock all mech with a sub. when sub ends the mech are locked again but keep their customisations and you can buy them with cbills. You ccan always buy ownership with or without sub, vanity item and camo requires ownership.

Because pts. It's fun to drive any mech you want. Even though i only used it for 2 hero i dont own yet, a lot are using it to test regular mech, you cant expect everyone to spend thousands of dollars to play pokemech online. I saw a post about it on reddit, a rare post that was nice and didnt belong on reddit.

People already scream about having (L) mechs in their inventory, imagine if there were huge lists (every mech in the game actually) clogging up their inventory after letting a sub expire.

No, people wanted the mechbay and pgi said no, that's not the same thing. Theres filter already to separate mech, can't you figure that one yourself?

I see what you're saying. It'd be like if you mastered a chassis but sold it. It'd still be mastered if you bought it back.

It is. You don't get much out of it though, in fact you get nothing except 50% increased cbills. You can save to buy mech, you can save to buy gear and mech customisation such as XL, dhs and endo, you can save to buy modules, you can save to buy consumables, you can't do much because you have to pay a lot for everything.

Dungeons and Dragons Online uses that exact pricing structure.

Once your premium runs out you keep any gear and the like you've acquired. However you can't use premium classes (monk) or play premium dungeons without spending points to unlock them in the store.

In mwo, they'd probably give you premium and the ability to use any combination of paints and camos you want but when time runs out they stay they way they were. An MC allowance, extra loyalty points, and maybe a free mechbay a month would all be other bonuses they could offer.

Just to point out.. but if you are paying a subscription, then none of the content that you receive is 'free'.

IMO, you should get the content released during the months that you are paying for.. but nothing from months that you didn't pay for.
