Played the Firebrand, JM6-S and JM6-DD in several matches. Sensors changes, laser lock required for full damage, loss of all weapon quirks and still my goto heavy mech.
The main advantage has always been the high mounted arms, and it was a good performer before the quirk system was introduced into MWO.
