I stopped using PPCs more than a year ago. LPL are simply better, unless you are trying to hit an AFK mech at 1500 meters...

When i tested my Cicada 3M and used one match the ERPPC and another match the PPC i had ~250 damage with the ERPPC and ~40 with the PPC using them both from 150 to 500m ranges the same way...
The only good PPC-Mech i had was the Blackjack with a combo that was ERPPC + AC10 - that worked really well and reliable for me - but is very outdated in Clan-Era.
Every other Mech (Awesome, Battlemaster, Shadow Hawk, Cicada, Vindicator...) i try i dont feel good with as it does not seem to work consistantly reliable and i go back to Lasers or the AC10.
It seems extremely urgent for the PPC to hit that you have very smooth FPS so you have perfect timing on your shots and i feel there is often an incosistent delay on my shots (Is it varying FPS, is it Particles or is this a leftover of the old MWO Betastage wait for Server Authentication after click the Firebutton and if ok release the shot after twice your Ping delay PPC mechanic ?) and the huge projectile size makes them collide with anything possible between you and the target.
Maybe that is part why the Blackjack worked as it was a JJ Mech shooting the targets from height.
Currently i use the Battlemaster (P) with 2xPPC to exploit its high Hardpoints and it is not really great but ok enough to stay with it for now until changes.

Ran my Awesome 9M (3 ERPPCs) for a few games last night, experienced massive amounts of my ERPPCs just exploding midair, this was on maps with large open spaces too.
Yup PPCs are utterly broken, gonna fix PGI? do you even know how too?.
