The Russian MW:O community seems quite active. Several of their threads are popping up on the front page frequently. I have noticed one common thing: All Russian threads seem to be prefixed with two capital letters - e.g. "OF - MWO и WoT" or "GD - Elite Mech".
Sadly, I can't read cyrillic letters, but still I'm curious what that's all about. Can anyone enlighten me?

If I was to guess it is all about migrating the community from one (failed) game over to MW:O. My guess is that a lot of russian dudes were keeping tabs on the EU and US WoT communities and noticed the word of mouth advertisement regarding MW:O. There is one certain legendary T110 armor thread on the US forum that is closing in on the 900 page mark that has caused quite a stir some time ago. It's still going btw and the people just bide their time until MW:O is ready to roll out. Something similar might have been going on in the russian community, although censorship over there is extreme from what I've heard. So it's safe to assume that the whole MW community will have a good number of people to draw on in the times ahead.

Russian forum has no structure and sub forums, mechwarriors speaking russian as their main language, in order to mantain military grade order and etiquette, use the prefixes:
GD (Game Discussion) - для обсуждения игровых моментов;
FT (Faction Talk) - для обсуждения фракций;
MU (MechUniverse) - для всякого флаффа;
OF (Offtopic) - для флейма и флуда;
RP (Roleplay) - для рп-шников, если такие заведутся;
UN (Units) - для юнит-тредов;
WF (Work of forum) - для обсуждения работы форума.

Thanks for the clarification Mixtus. Didn't know Russians were that disciplined.

There're not much things that would keep'em disciplined, and no one was able to pinpoint them so far. So should the wind change it's direction - you never know what's gonna happen next.
