The people in here that are like "grow up, dont drop if you have other things to do" aren't grown up enough to know much about life.
The people in here that are like "You shouldn't be able to report me for being AFK because you don't know what is going on" aren't grown up enough to know much about life.

The people saying "if its a once in awhile thing and you've gotta go afk for a minute to do something important, its all good because its just a game and we realize you're not intentionally being a douche" are the people that are grown up enough.
The people saying "go ahead and report AFK players because PGI will investigate and determine whether or not the player is abusing the system" are the people that are grown up enough.

I know the difference between using the reporting tool to harass a guy whose baby just woke up crying at 9PM and flagging legitimately crappy behavior from an angsty 14 year-old ex-CoD player.
The thing is... you don't. The guy just goes AFK and his Mech spends the rest of the match running into a tree.
If someone goes AFK and doesn't return, report them. Let PGI figure out whether or not it is an abuse. And if you're someone who occasionally has to go AFK for life reasons, grow a pair and live with it. YOU choose to play a team game when you might have to go AFK and ruin everyone else's game. If it doesn't happen often, no harm no foul and PGI won't punish you. But grow up and accept the fact that it's legitimate to report you. And if you get sanctioned for it, accept the fact that you're violating the CoC and deserve to be punished. If you don't ever get punished, then you're clearly not abusing it and have nothing to worry about.
