Obviously this is going into the camo spec, so all of these are purely cosmetic.
Let there be a total of four decal spaces to be placed on the mech.
1 - Pilot
2- Unit
3 - Accolade
4- Personal
To describe: the pilot decal can be (or I want it to be) a pilots username that is a piece of text placed somewhere near the cockpit, applicable by the user to give it their own flair. Make it look military with a "default text" or aquire the means and make it look like a true Merc's signiture.
The Unit decal can be 2 things, hopefully fused together. A text feature with the Unit's label, I.E. mine is SRoT, then a visual feature, perhaps a unit insignia. If one googles the Skye Rangers emblem, or looks at my signiture, you would get the message,
The accolade decal can be multiple things. One possible idea being the highest number of kills achieved in a game. Say you had 7 killing blows one game, you could place the "7 Kill Accolade" decal on the mech, giving the appearance of the side of fighter planes today with seven little mechs confirmed dead on your torso. This can be expanded to many many things, so...ideas!
the personal decal can be whatever one imagines, provided it isnt "bad content". maybe its a quote, or some personal text or image that makes your mech even more yours.
Ideas? Comments? Type away.

Hooboy, there's always that guy that comes along, doesn't like an idea, deems it unimportant to the 'greater picture', and then more or less slams an idea for being such.
What if I told you that PGI has always put greater resources towards the things you speak about, and are speaking more about the changes to CW Phase 3, new game modes and PvE content next Town Hall, and that the balance is obviously being worked on with the two PTS we've seen so far?
What if I also told you that a developer is capable of working on multiple things at once, and needs to just for income's sake, and that there's nothing wrong with being excited for smaller things like this?

well, the fact remains that players have been asking for decals for a long time, you expect the people to wait till PGI makes the game balanced in your sense before we get decals?
also working on decals doesn't detract from game balance. Or in this case, some people think its getting better others like the new changes, some don't; However i do not want to wait till the game is good enough in some people eyes to get my decals, which i have been waiting for since i asked a year ago.

Number decals.
Misc decals (Weapons, skulls, portraits, that cool stuff)
That's all I'd want.
