It's a mech, PGI can make money on it, you'll get eventually.

Another 100-ton assault, this one with only one variant in timeline? Also, a Clan battlemech, when there are more attractive Clan assault battlemechs to choose from? Highly unlikely.

Not possible. The Stone Rhino is the best looking mech in all of Battletech, bar nothing (and if you mean ingame ability, it will have that too - fully customisable 100 tonner with at least 1B per ST and many E arms)

Like Amaris you are likely to fail. You have to wait for another developer to jump in, bringing with him specialy breed graphic artists......
Seriously. As I also like the general design a lot. There is the problem with the "3 for 1 elite status" problem and that this Mech won't bring much new stuff to the table.
On the other hand that could be said about all Mechs as with costum options you can nearly build every other mech with a quite limited set of Mechs.
When you own about 2 or 3 Mechs of each weightclass you can build any other mech.
What would be interesting to see is how they would solve the problem that the Gauss is in fact a twin Gauss. Firing through the same barrel. Except for allowing only chain fire on the Gauss, firing both at the same time could be a problem.
30 damage at the same spot over long range with nearly no heat? Thats truely a monster.

Nes your assumption is in error, the original art everybody assumes is a gauss wejoke about being the head mounted small laser.

the gauss are mounted in each side torso. the re-seen while much uglier fixed the weapon positions.

Of course WOB finally perfected the original as the super heavy it was meant to be in the omega.

I haven't looked into the TRO to confirm it but sarna.net also says:
So it would be right to say its a twin Gauss that would, fired at the same time, would most likely deal damage into the same zone, except you chainfire them.
The second image is the Rhino 2...didn't even know it exists.
Judgeing from Sarna.net information it looks like its more or less a different design. Based on the Behemoth/Amaris mech. Therefor haveing a different appearance.
The Omega is also a different mech. So as far as it goes for the Stone Rhino...it has twin Gauss Rifles. Even if per rules they are mounted in the side torso.
PS; The WOB Mech is awesome in design. So agressive...

The design featured Large Pulse Lasers in each arm, twin Gauss Rifles in the torsos fired through the dorsal barrel, and an almost superfluous Small Pulse Laser located just below the cockpit.
