Can we get an official word on what constitutes the reportable 'non-constructive' chatter?

Thought this needed its own thread because it was kind of taking over the patch note thread of someone who made a nice thread.

None of that "GLHF" nonsense! And "GG", "Badda'bing'badda'boom" Fugettabout'it!

I'm guessing it's something reasonable, like giving away a location, or calling somebody a potty word (this community? Oh-ho, parish the thought).

i'm not worried about being reported really... it's the limiting nature of the edict... it rubs my freedom the wrong way, it's a principle problem not a "oh i'm going to get reported issue"

At least you're getting it rubbed....

Can you imagine a bunch of GM's hunting down and banning ppl who say "GG", or "you guys see the superbowl/worldcup/somethingHockey?"

This might finally shut up Ordellus, which is good for both teams.

'Non-constructive chat' is a catch-all for something that players might want to report, but which doesn't fit any other given category. Someone who spends the entire match, for example, going on at length about the mating habits of South African swallows is not at all being constructive. Sure, it could be labeled spam, but spam is itself an equally ambiguous category. The system is designed to flag games to GMs anyways, no report is going to be acted on without investigation.

What I find interesting is that 'Nonparticipation' is actually, legitimately, a reportable offense now. Has Piranha changed their stance on this? Interesting, interesting...

Because some folks love to report everything and have nothing better to do.

Nonparticipation has always been reportable.

I hate saying things like this, but it really is true. "If you haven't done anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about."

Back when I was a kid and someone was picking on my little brother on the school bus, I didn't tell on the kid. I beat him up the next day on the playground during a soccer game.

Life is better handled yourself than ratting folks out all the time to the authorities. It is what makes a man... a man.

While admirably 'Murican of you, hardly suitable in an online environment where beating up the other guy is, in fact, what you're sorta there to do in the first place.
