we need small groups 2-3 back in the solo queues like every other sensible game maker allows

I still think they should make the max group size 4 for non-CW gamemodes. Allow one group per team to prevent sync dropping.

larger groups should be forced to play CW.

Well if you want the "Peak" that'd be closer to 25,000 I just mentioned that I personally had over 8,000 people ahead of me in a challange I didn't fully participate in.

So with this arbitrary figure of 1,500 active players you sincerly believe a standard weekend challenge brings forth a surge of over 20,000 extra players over two days?

Also, if there's only 1500 active players and every single one of them spent say $150 this year that would mean that PGi has made $225,000 for this year, which is hardly enough to keep the lights on, let alone pay the staffs wages.
Consider that this mystical 1500 active players you have plucked from a phantoms ****** would each not have spent $150 or more on this game in a year and a inactive player isn't likely to spend much at all.

I get that its uber kewl and trendy to be negative on the forums with no reason but you do need some grounding before you make outlandish claims that are blatently false.

Either that or know when to pass the blunt. :P

A Steam release in the next year with be the nail in the coffin for this game. New Players will log in, get absolutely cremated, because they will be dropping against T3 players with no decent C-Bill Rewards or understanding of the game, and the ba d reviews will pile up.

I mean How many founders are truly left out of the 75,000+ that initially funded the game?,

One can hope that with the influx of new players, there is finally a large enough pool to isolate the newbies so that they can shoot at each other with stock loadouts and single heat sinks.

No, you higher tier folks are not allowed to join in even if you revert to stock builds.

And I hope PGI has the sense not to ever throw them in with us veterans regardless of our tiers until they at least have their own customised mechs.

But first, they will need to give players a good reason or incentive to turn their attention away from World of Tanks or World of Warships.

Agreed, but this is PGI we are talking about,

losing matches constantly against pug teams that function more like 12 man groups than actual randomly matched together people.

When does this start happening?

There's a new balance coming. Prepare for outrage! You're probably going to get your wish about quirks. From what I surmised. They're upping survival by upping component hit points. As well as more heavy use of structure quirks on the IS side. Clan laser max range got reduced. Though both sides are effected by the laser lock-on mechanic, essentially a nerf aimed at making lasers harder to use. Playing my Blackjack-X1 on the PTS, it does get annoying with medium lasers. But playing my triple LL Enforcer, it's not that noticeable. It'll make things interesting for a while. Especially if they can bring the divide between meta tiers closer together. I think Gauss rifles are going to be best weapons in the game.
