After every quirk pass, there are winners and losers. Too bad, so sad if one's mechs lost out on quirks, but there are always some new mechs one can quirk chase. Top Dog and BJ-1X, for example, seem real popular after the patch.

I personally buy mechs based on hardpoint locations and hitboxes, rather than quirks. Those are much less prone to changes.

I personally buy mechs because I have a love afair with the old lore and the designs of them. Plus as much as I hate the direction this game has taken and the total assery of the dev crew, Alex can design some sexy sexy mechs.

Hey Bandito! Remember this one?

Posted Image

Think maybe you could do something with it about Light Mechs versus Assault Mechs? I can't count the number of times that I've seen a Light attempt to take on an Assault and get trounced because the Light pilot was overconfident and tried to tackle the Assault head-on instead of flanking it.

Love your work! Calvin and Hobbes has been a family favorite for a long time now. They really translate well into MWO too!

This does remind me of taking on a Atlas with a Wolfhound, I was doing good until the Atlas finally landed a shot with his AC Posted Image

I once had a case where I was successfully circling an Assault mech by myself in a Locust. I was doing great with the SRM2s... Until another light mech decided to help me, ran in front of my target's guns, die, and then I shortly followed because the assault mech's pattern changed.

Rather annoyed I was. But, though he unwittingly rout my end, he was trying to help me... Posted Image

(Sorry. Your tale reminded me of the event. It was rather humorous when it happened.)

persoonaly i buy mechs based on looks and clan, not quirks but i have to say I love these XD

the last frame kinda reminds me of this raven I snuck up on then melted through his entire back blowing him out in one shot of small pulse and medium pulse XD

Good idea. I'll keep that in mind. It would be better though, if you PM me any ideas in the future, for the readers' surprise factor.

Eccentric builds usually melt before 50 point instant alphas. Kudos for trying something different, though. Click to enlarge.

Oh, and visit metamechs.com if you haven't. It offers meta builds, as one expects.

Just found and binge read this entire thread...following :)
Done now, and my electronic world seems a little darker :(
Like River City shifting to night (quick, get off those last few sniper rounds b4 full dark!)

returning to MWO to grind moar c-bills
but like waiting for every new game
staring at the spinning wheel of doom
hope springs eternal
