"Firestarter hitboxes are broken"
"lights take reduced damage"
... uh, no. Lights move. That's what they do. And when they don't do that, bad things happen to them. ^^;

No...simply no.
Lights do move yes.....*deeeeeep breath intake*
There are several issues with server synchronisation concerning, technicaly, all mechs, but light *receivers* profit most from them.
Since lights are smaler and their hitboxes equaly "structured" ( not just plain boxes around the wireframe of a mech ) a blurring or distortion due to microlags or desyncs has a larger overall effect to this smal structures.
So the problem is to create light hitboxes and structures that are compatible with the state of the game.
So if someone says *lighthitboxes are broken* he is, in a sense, right.
There are problems with light mechs and the size and structure of their hitboxes.
Just one vid where some lucky guy cought a light from several hundred meters away and did not end up shooting into invisible terrainhitboxes or into some desync ghost is no reason to say everything is ok.
And EDIT says: There are several cases where someone expected to be standing behing an obscuring object but IS visible AND hitable from afar since the obscuring object or terrain bump is just a stage prop.
I assume the above depicted light is victim to such an incident.

some Lights are harder to kill than others due to a combination of speed and hitboxes, but if any light gives a heavy or assault time to line up a shot, and the other team are paying attention the light will rarely walk away,
if I shutdown in a Light (and it still happens occasionally) my only chance for survival is that no enemy notices me

Dual Guass Jaeger, normally one of my favorite victims in this game.

Always keep in mind that movement costs heat, and also soaks up heat efficiency.
Standing still is never a good idea in the long run, but it DOES have benefits in that you can temporarily boost your heat dissipation by about 10-20% based on heat sink loadout just by standing still.
So while it is never a good idea to stay stationary in a fire fight, It does have its perks that can help you squeeze out just a tiny bit more efficiency if you know when the proper time to do it is.

Running only produces 0.2 HPS, so that's less that 10% on almost every build.
