This is a must for Mechwarrior:

I want to be in the heat of a battle, Alpha-Strike my target, **** near melt the interior of my cockpit and have an indifferent female voice calmly tell me, "Reactor Critical. Shutdown Imminent."

I'd be very surprised if this is omitted since it's a key feature of the series--the more apathetic she sounds the better. :)

I miss Betty. Hearing that deadpan voice rattling off reports of bad things happening is embedded deep in my childhood memories, and I love the contrast between that and the various sirens and such that indicate other things happening. It kinda makes the 'mech feel like it has a split personality resembling a protocol droid and an astromech; especially interesting with how the graphics and music of MW2 conveyed a sense of loneliness and desolation like no other game I've played.

The only human interaction you get is through impersonal text and mortal combat, and the only voice you ever hear is one personality of the schitzoid avatar of death you're possessing. Even commanding lancemates is done in the most impersonal manner possible. Being a clan warrior is very isolating.

word. the actress that did that voice acting even expressed interest in reprising her role for the reboot. Carole Ruggier is her name, I believe.

We should start a petition to get them to hire her for the MW:O Betty.

Yup. I've got my Windows sounds set to the Mercs voice.

Hopefully she rattles off local time and temperature like before. It was sorely missing in several reiterations of the series...

Be more clips to put in... but **** yes that would be simply amazing to hop in game, power up your mech and she reads your current PC time and the current time where you are on the planet you are on

How could I forget weapons???

Yes "Weapons: Online" as well. It would be a very unsightly battle if the weapons were offline the entire time. : )

One of the things you should be able to pay for, is different voices.
