There is something strange going on here.
Where are the flamers? Where are the naysayers? Where poopers? The haters? The instigaters? The candle stick makers?

They're hanging out with the butcher and the baker. ;)

I like it. I am frequently willing to drop in a variety of mechs and quit a match after I die so having this list of mechs is a cool idea. Also if you are working on leveling a mechs you could only put that one in or three variants.

Very cool idea.

Great idea. PGI will ignore it or fail on its implementation and need to re-do it.

They are not at work reading the forums, they are home playing now.

There is no downside to this (as long as Mechs are not locked - the 3 remaining after death) except the one you played, of course, if you dropped to move on.

Even someone picking all Mechs of the same type/Class or identical ones (Sarlic), it would just fall into a single picker scenario, as was mentioned, would still result in faster game time.

Poor man's drop ship!

We have to work too hard to get this one to K-Town, I can't find it yet. I mean, not even a good joke will derail this:

"Why did the chicken cross the road?"
"To find an idiot!"
"Knock, Knock"
"Who's there?"
"Chicken!"

They'll just say to pick the lowest % (always lights).

That's why I'd want the ability to assign a rank (level of priority) to each weight class.

If I really like heavies, I may assign it first priority, maybe mediums second, assaults third, and lights last.

I'm not saying you wouldn't end up launching in lights frequently, but the matchmaker would at least know you want to launch in a light as a last resort because you assigned other classes more priority.

I think it could help.

Not to mention that it would even things out down the road and people would start getting their priority Mechs as evenly as other Mechs, and games would be more balanced.

I like this solo queue Ready Deck idea.

As was mentioned before, at worse, you put one mech only in your Ready Deck, and you have exactly what you have right now, though I'm pretty sure you have many people who would put in 1/1/1/1.

I wonder though, what causes longer wait times for MM, adherence to 4/4/4/4, or PSR balancing?

I was just thinking this last night, as am finding the matchmaking super-slow at all times. I'll pick a different weight class to see if that ever makes a difference. If I currently have a heavy selected, and I'm not getting a match, I'll select an assault, and try and find a match. if that still doesn't work, I'll run through a light and then a medium to see if one of those get's a match.

Great plan, in an ideal world it would be used in combination with a battle points score for a chassis/player to make way more balanced teams (though there would still be 12-0 stomps and qq a plenty) this would mean if you only liked heavies you could pick 4 and the one that fit the match best would be selected, I know I would probably rather see a Stormcrow than an Orion most times
