Just can't catch a cbill break for nothing. Ah well. I keep wanting to like THUDs, maybe this time I will.

It is a good mech, you can do the SS meta. Too bad the Top Gun is for cash.

No, Ed Steele actually really does need to retire. xxEdSteelexx is very much still in the What Mech Challenge though.

had a 5kill 1400dmg CW-loss a few minutes ago.

I haven't played on this acct since I started this challenge. Not only am I having an absolute blast in my GHR's (ok Ed, maybe you're right, GHR's are pretty boss! 2.77 overall KDR!), but starting from scratch has been an interesting change of pace, if sometimes rather frustrating. By the time I can finally afford my last GHR, I'll have enough XP on the -P & -N to be able to master them without playing them again, lol. I'm not used to having to grind cash for too many things.

Grinding out that first Banshee is gonna be a special kind of Hell...

Man, I wish I knew the secret of the Grasshopper... Is your Acct still tier 4? Cuz I have a feeling when my acct hits Tier 3 and starts facing 1 and 2s.... my VTR is going to cry, lol.

For the moment, I'm almost T3, probably 3-4 more games & I'll be there. And I'm sure I'll hit a wall there, just like on this acct.

Not sure how, or why I do so well in them, they're hotter than blue flame most of the time, but they tank like a madman. Running a 325 XL in both (same engine, don't wanna devote c-bills to another XL until I have 3 variants) and I have yet to die by ST destruction. And really, they're not even quirked that good, just some generic energy heat & beam reduction.

Some 'mechs you just 'click' with. I'll probably never be as good in CN9's as you are (or probably any medium for that matter), so maybe it's just what I'm good w/ on the IS side.

Yeah, Centies always have held a special place for me. Dunno why I click so well with them, but when everyone was saying they can't XL, only good as Zombies, I was running (and am still running) XLs in all my CN9s, and do pretty well for myself.

And with the PTS4 quirk readjustemnt? OMGreatgooglymoogly is the CN9-D sweet with an AC10.

My favorite is the 5J, with 2x LPL on the arms, 2x MPL in the CT and a SRM-4 in the Head + dual AMS. I don't remember the rest of what is on it at the moment, but it takes quite a few Cbills to optimize it.

Well, I feel pretty miserable today and probably won't be on MWO much, so please remind me to promote you later.

Yeah, they're not cheap. 6 mil for the chassis, 2.2 mil for DHS & Endo & 5.4 mil for the XL325. Think I forked out another ~700k or so for the 3 large pulse lasers. On my -5P I'm running 2x lpl & 6x mpl, the aforementioned XL325, DHS & endo. On my -5N I'm running 3x lpl & 5 meds, DHS/endo & XL325. My next one is going to be the -5H & I'm about halfway to the purchase price.

My 5H is my second best on my main account, I have an ERLL in each arm and 3ML in the CT with an SRM-4 in the head (yeah, the SRMs give a little extra damage against big mechs) and one AMS.

That is exactly the loadout I am giving it.

Great minds & all that.

Well, finally bought my third VTR and mastered my first. Gonna take a long while to master the other 2. Ugh.
But at least I should have money for thunderbolt or two by then.

Depending on the outcome of this CW Anders and I are about to drop into, I should be able to get my last GHR.

Woohoo!

Edit* Oops... wrong acct.

Ok, 2D is fully elited and I managed to unlock Speed Tweak on my 1D (insanely fast now). Also, I created a new rank in the unit, CHALLENGER BONUS MASTERED for those of you who manage to master three variants of your original Challenge mech and three variants of your bonus Challenge mech (as with any rank in the What Mech Challengers unit, it is honorary).

Looks like some of our Challenge mechs will be getting some significant buffs on Tuesday.

I am hoping the srm buffs make a significant difference. And I wouldn't mind if victors were ok when I finish cents:)
