Would MWO benefit from a SLI configuration? (I mean , is mwo optomized for sli?)

AFAIK, not really.
While SLI needs the developers and NVidia (Crossfire for ATI) to get it working properly, PGI's resources to getting SLI working would probably be not very high on the list. You have to honestly consider how few people run such a configuration, but also actual work needed to be done to get it to work properly.
You're better off hoping for "workarounds" and clever NVidia driver mechanisms (possibly thru Windows 10, if PGI "eventually" adds DX12 support) to improve the situation (there's an interesting article on multi-card configs and DX12 that allow it to work better/natively thru the OS/Win10 - which still requires dev development though).
