I hope this make sense.any help on this will be greatly appreciated

Nope, once elited a variant is always elited, regardless of whether it's owned. When/if you buy them again later, they'll still be elited (assuming no major skill/xp mechanic resets by the devs).

Second part I'm not sure I understand. When you say model, do you mean chassis (Hunchback) or variant (4P), or wieght class (Medium)?

I'll take a shot at answering by saying this: Each variant needs to be individually elited. No variant can be elited until 3 variants of that chassis have all the basic skills unlocked. This, by the way, is why Mastery Packs come in 3's. You need three variant to unlock the basics before you can elite or master any one variant.

I hope this helps.

If you elite the HBK-4P(C) then any Hunchback 4P or 4P(C) you may purchase in future will be elited, however if you buy a HBK-4G it will not be elited.

The way the skill tree works is you must complete the basic skills on 3 varients of a chassis to unlock elite, and complete elite on 3 varients in the weight class including the Mech you want to master to unlock master.

So if you have elited (completed elite skills) on your 3 hunchbacks to master a blackjack (another medium) you would have to buy 3 blackjacks and complete basics on all 3 (you do not have to own all 3 at the same time) then when you complete elite on any of them you will be able to go straight onto Master.
However if you want to master a heavy you will have to complete elite on 2 other heavies first
