They lowered it to 150 in non-CW matches.

Yeah, its lower in non-CW as stated above. Its a nice change considered 200 was actually an above average score. I'm all for making people 'try' but it was a bit high for pub queue games.

Highly debatable, which is why the other thread is at 11 pages and counting as of this post.

next they should just do log in rewards but then ppl will probably still complain about having to log in every day of the event

Qualifying Matchscores atm:

PQ = 150

They placated the underachievers. We all get participation trophies!

Its a give away event to get ppl to play. The min score is to prevent afk/disconnects.

I would hardly call the rewards trophies, more like treats you give to everyone on a special event for fun.

Minimum score was too high for a lot of people.

I earned a butt load before the change and now I can finish even faster.

I appreciate that they listened and lowered the minimum.

Too many try hards upset over something that benefits people.

To be blunt, the previous match score meant you were 'GOOD', while the current means you are 'AVERAGE'. A loss on average means you lose PSR (CSR), while a loss on the previous score meant you were better than average, that's the point.

An average player in PSR (CSR) will gain on a win and lose on a loss. Meanwhile a good player will gain more on a win and stay equal (or should) on a loss. Then the EXCEPTIONAL players will gain MASSIVELY on wins and possibly even gain a little on a loss (or stay equal, I'm not versed well in the MWO PSR).

So saying that only GOOD players should get rewards is very off putting as the MWO score system is set up so that the average players are the majority.

These kinds of events are celebrations. They shouldn't be gated to 1337z only. Reducing the required match score means that far more players can participate in the celebration.

Of course, if PGI allowed multiple scores per match (300+ gets 2, 450+ gets 3, etc.), then it'd make things more interesting for skilled players, allowing them to have faster unlocks.

i like how people who bought the warhammer get free grabs, but people who bought the maurader (me) dont.

note to self: stop giving pgi money, it only leads to disappointment.

Wow, a participation event that has prizes means placating? Sorry, but no.

Memories are certainly short when it comes to PGI giving stuff away...
