Interesting, might be even come to that we'll reach one expanded PvP goal.

Campaign will be fine, Solaris will probably be added in a small add-on/expansion.

I hope they make it for all those who wish for PvP, but I probably won't play it. Never liked turn based PvP much.

HBS has already delivered two successful kickstarter projects, to much acclaim.

Which makes no sense their teaming with PGI but using good art is smart irregardless of the fail that MWO is.

Over 80K collected today. Really quite a nice push!
Well, even if I don't care much about PvP in this game, I hope for all the PvP fans out there that you'll get some additional funding goals bar the 2.5 million (which is only a formality now).

I find it interesting that there are so many posters vehemently against PvP (in this and other threads), especially as we're on the forums of a PvP-only game, discussing another implementation of what was originally a multi-player PvP board game.

I think it's largely due to the "it's all we have" mentality of MWO if anything. A lot of people play this game because it's really the only modern source of BattleTech/MechWarrior available, but as soon as you add another option you're going to seen a lot of people migrate or spread out.

Also in my mind I see a single player game being much more suited and interesting that a multiplayer game. 'PvP' games tend to be about making a balanced game rather than a fun game, and I prefer the latter. :P

The last thing I want for the new BT is to be dragged down by legions of fans who all want different things and seemingly clamber and crawl over each other just to scream in the developer's face.

I hope this HBS game splits the community so much it buries MWO.
