I've had them all selected since they removed turrets from Assault, and conquest has been a rare game. I fear it is going to go extinct.

Doesn't matter what whoever wish for, CBill rewards will just keep shrinking until they've driven away enough players to being unable to recover, panic and reverse things when it's too late and then go bye bye.

The motivation for this change is allegedly the long wait times. If so, then just randomize everything.

Well all you can play now is Skirmish , and forget about ever playing a hot map.....

Why not implement no heat no Ammo also, oh ya and go with the 8 bit graphics too....

Quite a few folks here that don't understand how a weighted distribution works. It is not totally random.

Frankly, the new voting system has made the game more borring. In s game with so few maps to begin with, they have in effect shortened the list of maps thus taking away the variety.

The voting is IMO terrible. It will lead to more terrible players that don't know how to be flexible or learn how to play the game. If you can't play assault or conquest without learning how to really play those game types the old system was better since you could gaurantee yourself only skirmish. Now the people who actually like variety, actually like to be challenged with different map terrain, heat, etc, are being punished by playing maps that favor easy mode game play.

I routinely take laser boats on terra therma and do just fine since I actually know how to manage my heat. This system rewards crap players not getting outside of their comfort zones and learning how to play their mechs. This voting system is awful an rewards non-strategic gameplay, rewards solo rambo players, and gets away from everything that draws me to this game.

On the otherhand if I never see Veridian Bog again it will be too soon. Its a good map if the jaggies weren't the worst thing in the world and my mech getting stuck on tiny pieces of geometry. If they could get the textures right and scaled back the foliage a bit then it would be good. The new caustic has similar issues with the ridiculous rockiness that it has and my large mech being stopped cold by a tiny pebble. Fix these problems before allowing people to only choose the easiest maps with the easiest game type.
