I like these changes; have only been able to play in IS hunchie and Atlas and a commando, but I am loving it so far.

Heat feels like more of an issue, it increases TTK, which, when combined with the guass nerf, makes this game hella more fun.

4 mans are awesome. teamwork is a lot more important in 4 mans; for those of us in PUGlandia, this will be either awesome or full of suck. But I think the positives outweigh the negatives.

laser changes with infotech: I like. The two combined make playing a non-ECM light mech less stupid (which is always a good thing)

Skill tree nerfs: needed. Was in the Atlas K with my disarmed commando teamate; against a locust.
It felt right. I could barely get a bead on the locust, when before; it would have been child's play to track and blow the locust away.
The overall agility nerfs make the big mechs FEEL like giant big mechs, and not CoD in a robot suit.

tl;dr: its been fun playing MECHwarrior, and not GETCOREDOUTIN2SECONDSwarrior

Lemme ask you some questions and answer truthfully.

-Do you like the laser mechanic because you didn't like lasers or do you like the mechanic as a whole.

-If you do like the mechanic, why?

i would rather have My Laser Min range Concpt than Screwing Laser Opt Range,
IS having x2 max range is good, Clan having x1.5 is good, thats a good Balance,
Targeting Laser Concept i dont like or agree with,

My Min Range Concept is,

TTK is hard to form an opinion on with such a large departure from normal play with things like 4v4(not something we are supposed to be testing by the way).

I hate pretty much everything about the laser and sensor changes.

Gauss changes are fine, but I would like to see them increase the time you can hold a charge if they are going increase the cool down.

Really like the new changes so far too. Especially the sensor aspect and reduced agility. Even from the few tests I've managed to get in so far I feel a lot more like I'm piloting a battlemech. The mechanics make the gameplay a lot more fun. The limitations make it moreso!

I liked the changes as a whole and felt that the laser lock on mechanic should apply to all direct fire weapons and not just lasers. Perhaps modules, targeting computers, command modules, and pilot skills could have been used to improve these values but it sounds like the idea has been scrapped anyhow.
