Space Port Map Would Be Nice

I thought we would get a space port map
With several drop ships taking off at the end of the match
The map would include a multi level control center like in the center of HPG but would not have a bunch of crap to trip over.

Also changes to conquest so they are not roll stomps 80% of the time
Thoughts?

Anyone want to tweet Russ about new maps (space port)

New maps don't bring in cash.

But here's a new mech pack for you to buy.

PS: I'd love it if they had more maps (bigger than Alpine) too.

Worse enough you are allowed to fight in the middle of a HPG installation.
In a perfect world i would ask BLAKES WRATH to kill you while you are sleeping for this heresy

Before we need more maps - they should take the disliked maps from the vote system and tweak them until they are chosen more often.

But well bigger maps - first you need some better game modes.

Something like:

Hot Drop - team one gets spread over the whole map - and have to rally before they march for the primary base
Head Hunting Mission (kill the VIP for the CSO and CODs crowed)
King of the Hill - take and hold a strategic position

and for sake - drop the need to have equal teams: head hunting for example - the attackers don't need the same weight - they have to be outgunned and outmassed - so its up to "scouting" and ambush or attack plans.

You mean till they all suffer the same hate as the retweaked Forest Colony, River City and Caustic Valley and cause massive meltdowns from players who refuse to accept any challenge or variation in their lives but just want a "push spacebar to win" level of challenge games?

No - maps are chosen because of a reason - and maps are disliked because of reason.

And currently i hate most maps - to much cover - I have a BattleMech not a "frail" fleshy soldier - so the game have to change that this cover and trip wiring stops

I fought in a spaceport once. Charged a Demolisher tank with my Warhammer and sent it tumbling 5 elevations down a shaft that led to where the dropships were parked. :D

you would so love the World of Warships "Ocean" map. Literally no cover. None. But it has Cone of Fire and Destroyers can generate smoke. Too often I feel like players just wanna play on the Bonneville Salt Flats.

may i point out that hpg is an immensely popular map..... right wrong or indifferent people love the space map, it is also our only true arena map... think about that, yes other maps are also formulaic but we have only one true "arena" style map... that sets it apart. but yeah more space maps please

Lucky, Demolisher's are hella scary in a TT city fight, second only to SRM Carriers....

Yea but if you sneeze on an SRM carrier it explodes. Seriously 2 medium lasers will do the trick.

I can't remember the rules but if you put some battle armor or conventional infantry in a building next to the carrier, that might be it for the SRM hail storm.

Haha, that could be a new game mode...

a ) Skirmish, until one team is eliminated.
b ) If 4 or less players alive?
- Game is won, dropship leaves.
c ) If more than 4 players alive?
- Free for all until b )

They could call it "Space Saigon - The last chopper"...

Id love to see a OPEN WORLD map pack released....

Id like to see 4 new BIG maps (much like Apline) that we could re do as the Conquest Mode Maps. Most fo the maps are too small to make capping on conquest a valid option so id love to see maps that were made for the mode and were just freaking huge.

Im talking 3-4 times the size of Apline. Make em 30 min matches like CW with 750 cap limit and NO CAPS to start. IF you wanna TDM and try to win you better be fast.

But really id like to see a "Defend your mech mode" as a new mode. A mode where whoever dropped in defense was making a break for a "DUST OFF" point and had 1-3 mechs that were the "Ball Carriers" and HAVE to make it to the dust off site ALIVE due to having vital info, resources, etc.

The team that drops in defense has an IDEA of the routes being taken by the team (maybe 2 or 3 diff routes to choose from) and thre objective was to kill the "Ball Carriers" or kill the whole team before they made it to the Dust Off. Could be a time limit but id like to see a mode with NO TIME LIMIT and just Objectives to win. (maybe one just for the Disco that are always present).

But anyway....brainstorms. Take them as you wish...
