Hello!

Just working on a Warhawk build.

I was wondering, what's better? If I had four LRM-10's with ARTEMIS or if I had four LRM-15's WITHOUT Artemis?

They weight the same. Here's my thoughts so far:

Pros for LRM-10's with ARTEMIS:
Much tighter spread, since they're both LRM-10s and the fact that they have Artemis.
Stacks nicely with my TAG and BAP
Faster cool-down
Lower missile duration (if that makes sense)
Allows dry-firing

Cons:
Less overall damage, even if it is in a tighter spread
Lower missile duration means longer gaps between volleys if I'm chain-firing.
Requires LOS (Line of Sight) to get any of the above bonuses that ARTEMIS provides

What do you think? Do you have experience with the Warhawk or Clan LRM's in general?

Thoughts?

Each has their place. Artemis is great if you intend to get your own locks with line of sight for the most part. Without and you get a more saturated bombardment support mech. Depends upon how you want to play it.

Artemis also does speed up your missile lock on times, even without line of sight. Might be worth considering that factor as well.

When in doubt, run it each way and see which way you feel works better.

What he said. Artemis speeds lock times. It's a must for that alone if you're carrying a lot of LRMs, in my opinion.

And I love Clan LRMs. They have a flatter flight profile and are way easier to blindfire. I have an LRM10 without Artemis on my SMN-Prime just for the ability to use it close in with or without locks.

I find 4xLRM15's more effective as I can bring extra ammo and blind fire to suppress advancing forces under ECM.
(Takes practice to be really effective)
The damage spread maybe sneered at by some, but it's cost the enemy plenty of lost components and frankly I'll use any advantage. ;)
