I had purchased a new laptop a few months ago with a quad core processor capable of 2.5 ghz if speed, 6 gb of ram and 2 gb of video memory (1 gb dedicated and 1gb off of the AMD A6 processor), so I'll have no problem playing MWO. The problem arose as I learn more about this game is that I'd really like to play this with my son and I can't afford a second pc for him to play. The reason I bought the current laptop is that my desktop pc is just underpowered, it has the ram, 1gb video card but falls short on the single core processor which the type socket 939 is no lnger in circulation and buying it on ebay second hand costs a few hundred dollars so it wasn't worth it. I spent the last few days playing with tigerdirect trying to make an affordable build but to no avail. It just dawned on me that maybe I should check ebay one more time since it has been a few months since I checked the prices and to my suprise, I picked up a dual core processor with 2.2 ghz of speed(just enough) for $49. So, it looks like in the next week I'll be purchasing a second Founders Program for my son so we will both be jumping in on Aug 7th.

Ain't that the truth. That also means that I'll forego upgrading to Legendary in favor of buying an Elite for my son so he can choose a mech. Ah the sacrifices we make for our children.

It's based on the Crysis engine so I shouldn't have a problem, the only thing I have to do is buy a new router to replace the wireless G that I have with a newer wireless N.
