Clearly to be blunt BAP is just as heavily exploited by clans as ECM. The 350 range on average for BAP should be readjusted to 180 to fit the new ECM range. One only has to pick up a table top rule set to understand relevance. I feel that PGI is leaving BAP overpowered to favor streakbots hunting ECM lights that scout. The range needs to be adjusted to keep the balance. Additionally BAP mechs need to stick out on battlefield same as ECM type mechs. Quite simply you can't have increased radar strength that overrides jamming and not be visible as the mech carrying the increased radar strength. If you want modern day example of this you only have to look at P-3 Poseidon aircraft versus hunting of submarine periscopes with their increased radar. The stealth unit often detects the increased scanner well before it gets in range. Another example would be AWAC's deployed as advanced command and control for fighter strike groups. Quit saying your trying balance one group while leaving a huge exploit out in the air literally that favors clan streak bots. While your at it get rid of range 500 streaks. Have your play testers check that one out. Quite literally streaks do not run out of fuel at their max range a light that is at say 360 sees a streak bot and evades to 450 to 480 will still be hit by streaks that should have run out fuel. It's an exploit you are allowing in game. Streaks do not have extra fuel in fact quite the opposite the tracking guidance devices limit the range. ALL in order to maintain the warhead strength. The fact is streak mechs are probably selling well MC wise so why play balance them even when it uses an obvious exploit.
