We all know everyone hates low mounted hardpoints and the "knuckle dragger" effect on arm mounted weapons. Why don't we have an option, similar to opening and closing missile bay doors, to raising our hanging arms up to an extended pointing straight position? People might be more inclined to give other mechs a chance if they have the ability to be on par with the Jagermech's ridge humping capabilities. The obvious downside to this would be that your side torsos are more exposed, and perhaps you'd have slower torso twist because of the arm mass hanging out there.

I can't imagine this being very difficult to program. If anything, they'll have to model ball joints for some of the mechs' shoulders.

Correct implementation: have it linked to 'lock arms to torso' - i.e., you have a choice between low-slung with full arm angle, or high-slung with only torso twist angle. Also, only mechs with lower arm actuators should be able to raise their arms, and not quite to shoulder height.
